Try things now. Seems to be working for me now.
One of the database tables crashed, so it was failing when it tried to load. Luckily it looks like I was able to repair it.
After talking to the host, it sounds like we've been moved to the new host. That possibly could have caused the table crash (writing to the table while it's being moved maybe?).
Anyways, HOPEFULLY all issues should be resolved now. Let me know if you guys notice any more outages. If you do, I'll give the host another good talking to and let them know just how 'pleased' I am with their service...

Back up now. Hopefully it was just a minor hiccup, but I'll keep their number on speed dial. Can't call until after work tonite anyways. Let me know if it happens again. I'll try to keep checking in as much as I can.

Site went down again tonite. Contacted host again. Waiting to see if they know what's going on.
Gonna leave it at that, as I'm kinda pissed right now.

The saga continues...
So I chatted with my host some more tonite and here's the story. They had issues with one of their servers, so they move all the sites that were on it to a backup server with the exact same configuration. The set the configuration the same to reduce the likelihood of the move causing problems in case sites were coded to use specific versions of software like PHP and MySQL. However, they then started having issues on the new (backup) server they moved us all to. The did a repair a little while ago and they THINK all the issues have been resolved, but will continue to monitor things.
That wasn't good enough for me, so they are going to move our site AGAIN. This time it will be to a server with a similar setup as the last one, but with newer versions of software. It also won't have the same sites hosted by the other server, which is good as I suspect one of them is contributing to the problem (eating up DB connections at certain times of the day; outages seem to me like they've been occurring at about the same time for the most part).
Anyways, sometime tomorrow or Friday the sites gonna get moved again. Fingers crossed that the move goes more smoothly then the last one, but I think it's what needs to happen to give us the best chance to resolve these issues.
I know I've said this a lot, but I AM sorry for all the disruptions. Yeah, they haven't been caused by me, but the site is my responsibility. I know I'd be frustrated if half the time I logged into a site it was down or some of the data for a character I'd worked to build got erased. Hopefully this will finally be the end of it. I have Friday off, so if there are any problems that result from this new merge, hopefully I should be able to resolve them quickly.

Hmm. I was on a bit yesterday afternoon and didn't notice any. Could have just been lucky on my end though. Keep me posted. If it keeps happening I'll go bug my host (again).
