Speaking of upgrading the shop, I would love a tweak to that system but I don't yet know exactly what. The problem being that for those of us in out-of-the-way towns, we get very little shop traffic which makes it difficult to level up the shop, especially if you have higher-level characters who don't need any of the level one equipment that the shops start out with.
Perhaps you could have money spent at the blacksmith and stables go toward upgrading the shop as well? Or at least a portion of it?

The little green dots would be a good way to make people move around more, so on that note, I like the idea. However, say that all the people within range for you to attack are in a different time zone from you (but similar between them), and they all go to sleep in the same town! Then when I wake up, I can go to that town and attack away, but then I'd run out of little green dots, and try to travel elsewhere looking for people to attack. I wouldn't find any (or maybe just the odd one who didn't get the memo the others got about the tavern in Cairhien). If I was short of time, and had too many battles stored, and didn't want to lose them, I'd then first have spent a lot of time that morning running around on the map looking for targets to hit, and then I'd have to go back and fight those battles but gain less experience, putting me at a disadvantage compared to those people, who, when they wake up, can all travel around and beat eachother up in different places. I realise that this would not be something that would occur all that often as long as there are a lot of people around you in rank, but in a longer run, for those who end up higher in rank will already have a limited number of people they can attack, and waiting the 10 minutes between attacking the same targets will be bad enough without giving them the added disadvantage of getting less experience just because that one/those few targets you have didn't happen to move when you wanted them to. Then again, if someone is far ahead enough in rank for this to be a problem, maybe it's good to slow them down a little (A possible solution for this, as well as for some other things, such as catching up after a late start, would be a level cap. I'm just not sure if that would fit well into the rest of the game, so I'm not going to go suggest that one is added, at least not right now! In fact, you didn't even read that I mentioned it here!) Edit: I'll get back to the embassies and HQs if I can think of some good ideas for them!

Ok, I thought about this on my way home, and will post my ideas. First off, I really, really hate the time it takes to travel, which is probably the reason I came up with this! It's just so boring to watch your progress on the screen, and I know that I avoid travelling because of it. So, my idea for a purpose with a HQ and embassies would be based on this. If we start with the HQ, wherever your clan decides to have it, this will then become a place you can always travel to instantly, regardless of where you are on the map. Basically, just a little click on HQ would take you to that town. To get anywhere else, you'd still have to go on foot, or ride whatever animal you have. Embassies would then serve the same purpose in their respective towns, but you'd have to start your trip in either your HQ or another embassy to be able to travel instantly to an embassy. (I could be ok with being able to travel to your embassies from wherever as well, but I thought the HQ should have some advantage over the embassies... Besides, you could always travel to the embassy anyway, just by first stopping by the HQ) This concept would still allow for the idea with areas inbetween towns, where there'd be exploring. You couldn't travel to those areas, but you can travel to your nearest embassy, and then use your normal means of transport to go out in the inbetween area you want to go to. This purpose for HQ and embassies has three really good things speaking for it, as far as I'm concerned. First, I'd love to have it! I really would do almost anything to not have to sit and wait for my char to move between towns, so I'd definitely run around fulfilling whatever criteria needed for my clan to keep the embassies. (Battles would be best, I think) Second, quicker travel would in itself be a good way to make people move around more, so I think they would Third, it wouldn't give a too good benefit for clan members compared to clanless people (they CAN still move around, and with better animals, they can cut the time down) while still being a good incentive for people to join clans! There, go ahead and shoot this idea down!
