Hmm, interesting. I agree that travel isn't really that necessary now. Once you find a good home with enough targets, you can just stay there. So I like your ideas. Some questions, though:
If you can restock the clan shop with just a button click, doesn't that mean that you do have as much of each item as you could possibly need, as long as the people with the power to push the button are around? Or is there some cost associated with this? Oh, nvm, I just realised that the clan buys the individual items, probably grouped together in a set number of items! (Is that how you intended it?)
Also, where would the money for these purchases come from? If it would be like today, with the shop till, that would mean that you'd have a hard time getting started... Or could clan members "bank" their gold into some form of clan bank instead?
Third, would only clan members be allowed to buy from the shop, or could you allow others to buy from it, too? If so, I'd suggest different permission levels like
- clan members only
- clan members + allies
- all non-enemies
- everyone
(I realise that the "all non-enemies would just allow people in enemy clans to buy your stuff anyway, all they'd have to do is have one member leave the clan and buy the stuff, but I'll ignore that. Maybe there can be some benefit tied to how long you have been in the clan (and if you leave that is reset to 0, so you can't count the old time if you just leave for a while), or a limitation on how many times you can join the same clan)
If people outside the clan were allowed to buy things, I'd like to see the possibility to set different prices for each of the categories above.
Last a comment about the HQs. Even if I agree that not everyone should be able to make their HQ in the same place, there would have to be some possibility to have more than one clan have it in the same town, since there would otherwise be a risk that we'd run out of towns...
