As far as I understand the system now its is pretty hard to overthrow some of the citys leaderships now.. When you start to have over 1000 wins over all other clans it is getting pretty hopeless to take it over.. What if after a certain time(an hour for example) the clan wins would be reset in that city and the one in charge would still be in charge. Except that now it would be possible for another clan to quickly overthrow them. I think this would be much more fun:)
thoughts?

Yeah, and trust me, if you do that he result will be complete, unadulterated chaos.
A completely different, but related idea: Could we make it so there is some way of taking control of a town without fighting battles? If my Clan were to move to some completely uninhabited town we could not rule it, which seems kind of counter-intuitive. How about if no Clans have fought a battle in a town control goes to the Clan with the most members currently in the Town?

Yeah, that has bothered me too Hugh.
But Secon.. Im not really familiar with the system.. but do you mean to say that it only takes 100 wins to take over a city no matter how many wins another clan has there..
Take Caemelyn for example: the Queens Guard is in control.
Clan ranking: the Queens Guard: 1,303 wins DIVAS: 154 wins The Forsaken: 97 wins
So if the Forsaken now get 3 more wins(100 wins total) then they get the control of the city? Even if the Queens guard has like 1200 more wins?

No, they only have to get 100 over the current Clan in control.....
You may have a point, though.....

To prove my point further.. If im not too wrong it might take DIVAS about 3 days with constant win(no losing at all) to gain control over Caemelyn.. And that is only if the Queens Guard doesnt win any battles at all during that time..... Get my point here?

I read that.. So currently it is first to 1,400.. And Divas is 1,300 wins behind...
So your point is?

Well, we don't want Caemlyn, so it would take even longer... lol I like the current system. If two clans want the same town, they will fight for that town, and that could be pretty exciting. If noone else wants it, then that's more boring... I do love the idea that if noone has 100 wins, or if the clan in control has not attacked anyone inside that town in x amount of time (3 days? would allow for a clan where everyone never played on weekends to still keep the town unless passed in wins), the town passes to the clan with the most wins, or if no battles have been fought there, to the clan with the most people. They'd have to have been there for a certain period of time, though, or the leadership could be chaotic in such towns...

I really just meant if no battles had been fought at all.....
It would just make exploring more profitable, since right now there are no benefits whatsoever to being the first to get somewhere.

I'd still say you should have to be there for a certain amount of time to get control. Otherwise leadership will jump around madly in the beginning...

I figure this system will only be in effect until somebody attacks somebody else. As soon as that happens, control switches to No One again, since obviously nobody there is able to keep order, and it continues that way till one Clan racks up 100 wins.

The only issue I have with basing clan control on most members in an area is that it's really easy just to pump out some alts to increase membership. I do agree though that it'd be hard to initially take a city that has no one there. I think for the official release new chars will start out in a random location. That way people will have to move around to get some battles in at first (hopefully not all converging in one city though), which will get some clan wins in various towns.

That ought to work......
Is there any way of making it dangerous to travel? If it were hazardous to travel, perhaps that would keep people from all flocking to one place, since they'd have to stay in their starting place for the first few levels....

You could make it COST to travel (food, lodging, etc...??) - that way, each step might be 10g (or crowns) - or more. that way the lower levels would be able to make 1, maybe 2 trips - then run out of gold...?

meanwhile, we should just reset the cities - so that the lead clans lose control - just to mix it up...
