This post is about a lot of the little changes that have been/will be made for V4. Not really worthy of a post of their own, they get to share this one!
I hate to say it, but I think this is gonna have to be it for the Countdown threads. I do have a few other little things planned for V4 (one ain't that little code wise), but they're on the bubble of getting pushed out to next version (some of them AGAIN) and I hate telling you guys somethings coming only to not deliver.
Monday will start the voting on the names for the Inns/Taverns. That's not the only thing you should be looking forward to though. My 'eyes and ears' (literally in this case) have told me that if you check the site sometime Sunday, you may find an interesting announcement...

- When facing an opponent, the amount of points your clans score goes up is dependent on the strength of your opponent compared to you, similar to experience. Since we're dealing with much smaller numbers, fractions of points will be awarded. The database will store these fractions, but for the sake of a cleaner display, the actual score of the clan will be rounded the nearest whole number to display. Just know that I am tracking those fractions.
- NPCs that you face when exploring have gotten a bit tougher. They should start out about as strong as they were before, but hopefully will stay that challenging. I haven't really been about to fully test this yet though, and predict there will likely have to be some tweaks as you guys reach higher levels to keep the challenge up. My goal is for the npcs to win 10-40% of the time. Better equipped players should be much closer to the 10% than 40%, but you guys shouldn't be winning every time.
- At request, I've brought back the full player listing option. It's currently linked from the Horn page. So now you can see where you really stack up.
- I've added a little button with an '*' on it to the bank. Clicking on it will toggle the amount of coin listed in the boxes back and forth from 0 to maximum amount you can deposit. Hopefully that will make things a bit easier to manage.
- Battle Bows and Pikes now do different things (their stats were the same). Various other minor weapon tweaks as well.
- Changed gold display when selling items to display coin images instead of words.
- I WILL finally fix the trade option to use the current monetary system (just says gold STILL)
- Fixed a few other little bugs I've noticed and cleaned up some random code that was no longer in use.
