I always liked the betas for this when you fought trollocs and stuff. Also it could determine what kind of drops you get tar valon would be talismans and stuff like that and aiel waste spears
I think there was also a duel cap back then something like 10 duels a day but yaha I would like to see random battles back if you can do that.

I've been thinking about this as well. Would add variety as well as make people not so dependant on whether or not others are in the area.
Here's my thoughts. Not final by any means, just what I've been toying around with:
I'd bring back areas between towns (maybe one between each town as a spacer, not 2-3 like Craigs). These areas would not be controlable. Perhaps controling a neighboring town would give you influence in the area, but we'll see. Haven't really decided yet.
In these area's you'd be able to spend a turn 'exploring'. This could cause you to fight bandits, wolves, trollocs, darkfriends, etc. These fights would earn you a little less experience than duels, but you would find dropped items from them. No gold though.
Duels would be possible anywhere still (don't want to create safe zones), but you would no longer get item drops from people. So while you'd gain slightly more exp if you only dueled people, you won't have much of an income to buy better equipment. People would have to find the right balance.
Having these options would make 'quests' easier to come up with as you may have to explore a certain area to find a certain enemy. The enemy may only have a certain percent of appearing, so it could make things quite interesting.

There better be the character limit by then I am not sure about adding more areas though the world is pretty much big enough

Don't worry. If I do this I'll be sure to add safeguards. If I limit based IPs, I can also limit things like transfers between characters from the same IP. This is one of those ideas that has issues without an alt limit.

Tim I think I love you sounds like a great sketch and if you need any help just ask and I will write up something...I tend to write very detailed well thought out stuff. Curse you D&D but oh well that's what happens when your fascinated with fantasy and can't get enough out of rping or writing stories, adventures, quest, etc.

With the new weapon system, talismen will have a bigger effect on a weapons level, Not a direct effect probably, but bigger than it is now at least.
And really, if a clan wants to support its other members, I don't really have a problem with it. No different than in other games really. There will have to be some balancing to keep things fair, of course.
