I don't think the food consumable bonus for cooks is working right. I've got a level 8 cook who's only getting 2 turns to digest seasoned foods. It was 3 turns before at level 7 cook. It seems like the bonus is working backwards.
For example, when my level 8 cook consumes old broth, he gets 4 turns.
When my level 0 cook consumes the same old broth, she gets 8 turns to digest.

I'm not sure. I think that is how Tim meant it to be, since the main bonus for consuming food is that it restores stamina. Nothing worse than eating 1 broth to get 2 stamina and having it stuck in your system for 8 turns. 8 turns in which you may have lost your 2 new stamina.

Seems like it is suppose to speed up the effects. So more stamina recovered in a shorter amount of time.
From the wiki: Cook bonuses include "Food items recover an additional x/2 stamina (round up), food effects last -x/2 turns less (round down)"

Ah, I guess I misunderstood. Seems like a waste. I don't use the consumables for the stamina effect. It's kind of useless for the cook to use foods for an effect that lasts only 1 turn. But I guess they're useful for non-cooks and those who don't like using inns? Thanks for the clarification.
