This is a change I decided while looking over that achievements. As it stands, if you spend your money just right at the beginning of the game, you can have 6 businesses of one kind each upgraded a couple levels within about 24 hours thanks to the current business achievements. While this is quite nice, I think it lets you do too much too fast. I was going to lower the reward for business achievements, but instead I decided to raise the price of businesses a little.
# Business: Old -> New 1st Business: 25s -> 25s 2nd Business: 50s -> 50s 3rd Business: 75s -> 1g 4th Business: 1g -> 1g 50s 5th Business: 1g 25s -> 2g 50s 6th Business: 1g 50s -> 3g 50s
I kept the prices the same for the first couple, as I don't want the price of entry to be too high, but the price increases a little bit more steeply.
Shouldn't be a too big of change for most of you, but will make some us work a little harder early on.

I guess I can live with that rather than lose my big cash payouts for the achievements.

Are individual mine shafts or farm/garden plots etc. going to remain the same, or cost more as well?

No. Those will remain the same for now. Don't want to jack prices up too much on you guys all at once.

This is good I think, it kind of bothered me that it was so easy to roll achievement dollars back into businesses to generate funds so easily at the start ... handy, for sure, but far too easy I think.
