ok i was thinking a while back how no one in WoT really fights alone. most groups like trollocs, seachan, aiel, all fight in small groups. so i was thinking how maybe all the npcs would be in groups while our characters could have a few NPCs connected to them. like a darkfriend could have a group of trollocs and fades while a crazy religous person could have whitecloaks in their team. there could be different npcs in each town that will join u. like whitecloaks in amador, aes sedia in tar valon, ect. they could level with u (as do the enemy npc's teams) and players can only get one every 10 levels maybe. but most npcs would be level capped, like no blademasters for level 10-40. stuff like that. just a thought, throw it out if u want but i think i have another idea that would work really well with this

I've always liked the ideas of group combat. Whether it be with NPC allies, or clan members, or just random other players, or a combination. It's been kinda low on my priorities though, as if I do just NPC in your group, it doesn't add much more to game (basically just another equipment slot) and if I do other players in your group, then there's lots of questions that aren't easy to answer (like how is XP divided, who's turns get used for battles, how to balance combat, how damage is divided, etc).
Maybe someday though.

I haven't given up on the idea, but the issues I stated above still remain. It's really just an issue of plugging multiple people on one side into a battle system designed for 1-on-1. Not impossible to do, but it'd take a lot of thought and work.
If I add something like this, it'd probably start out as special quests only that allow you to form up in groups to complete. Or special fights, like 2v2 battles or something like that. If that was added, then Bonding and the like could be added to give bonuses when these two people fight together.
