crazy idea alert - using the scaling weave 'power' - what if weaves used whatever equip points were left over from other gear (and scaled stats accordingly) rather than being a fixed percent of equip points...
I'm kind of thinking of it as someone who carries a big knife or a sword would probably use more 'concentration' on that than on using a weave, but someone more 'attuned' to the power would forego a weapon in favor of concentrating more on their weaves, making for a more effective weave.
Players could then wear moderate armor and devote all remaining points to a weave, or fight primarily with a sword and use a weave for secondary damage. A little more customizing ability for the player.

u could also do that for everything else, just have a minimum points required. but make it so that a stick even on a level 100 using all the points wouldnt come close to a heron sword. i could explain more but i need more time to think

Good idea, but I would limit it to weaves. And the amount of points to be used should be limited to a range, which would vary according to the kind of wave.

Second Crom on that - though I certainly wouldn't object to having everything scale on the points. I feel it would be a very radical change from the current system though. I do like those ideas, Kev and Jason.
