I remember this was always a highly contentious debate in the past versions when there were darkfriends (and it meant something). The question is whether characters who serve the Shadow should be marked so other players can tell their alligence. I'm torn about the issue.
-If we follow the books, then strictly speaking you probably shouldn't know. Darkfriends blend in with everyone else and don't have any distiguishable features. It could lead to darkfriend spies in clans that serve the Light and non-darkfriends potentially infiltrating the clans that serve the Shadow.
-However, for the purpose of the game it doesn't really add anything to hide it. It would be beneficial to know what kind of opponent you're up against. It would allow darkfriends to focus attacks on those that serve the Light and vice versa. Spies could still be made, they just would be secret darkfriends (or non-darkfriends), making them even harder to detect.
So yeah, I'm torn. What do you guys think?

i like the one where it takes a requirement to see a darkfriend like once a darkfriend gets powerful enough. but other darkfriends should know who other darkfriends r. also you should add that a character of the light can go dark but a darkfriend cant go to the light (cuz a fade would find them.lol) it would also balance out that the light has more choices for the cheaper stuff darkfriends get

Maybe there could be a 50% change that you see other darkfriend if you are a darkfriend. Then all of the light would have a 15% or 10% change. Because it is not like you can never find out that some one is a dackfriend. Or even more out there is if there was a taili that would help. Just a suggesion.

I miss seeing who was dark and who was light, and who the cowards who couldn't pick a side were, so I want it to be visible to all! But I want it to be equally visible that someone walks under the light.
And actually I love the idea of a tali, but instead of showing what others are, how about a tali that allowed you to hide your own allegiance? Could be very costly in points, or a tali with a limited time effect (maybe even as one of the unique drops discussed earlier) or something to make sure that not everyone uses it.

Just throwing this out there, but you guys probably should keep in mind that if darkfriends can see other darkfriends, there's nothing to stop someone from making an alt and saying who's light and who's Shadow. I'm fine with that as the answer if that's what you guys want, but thought it was something you should keep in mind...
