Since weaves can be equipped, maybe one could also create certain talismans that work only on weaves (like weave modification talismans), that would be cool. An Idea for V4

Oooh, and make those talisman rare, or worth a lot Non channellers can then make a fortune selling them.

*Ignores the idea simply because Ghent suggested it* In seriousness, I agree something needs to be done with weaves. I made talismen not work on them because the names of the talismen don't really work right with the idea of weaves (Tarnished Weave of Ogier?). For now I simply made weaves slightly stronger than other weapons and the 2-3 most powerful weapons in the game are weaves (before talismen are added to other weapons. Not sure if I'll add special weave 'talismen' (or maybe angreal/ter'angreal? ), but I plan to do something to tweak them a bit. And glad to see you here, Ghent! Even if you are a complainer.

hmmm.... well then either an angreal becomes another equipment to be equipped, or an angreal is to be used as a talisman, that is added to the weave... so it could sound like this "angrealed firespark", terangreal's would have a speed or accuracy addon. and angreals would be added dmg in a raw power like coefficient +%dmg to the weave.
The bigger the addon, the more rare the angreal/talisman is, and the more expensive it can be put within the market of a town.

Hey, what if a town could buy a ter'angreal, like Far Madding; it could add to or take away from the use of the power; but places like the Stedding and Far Madding could only take away from the use of the one power and Tal Valon could only added to the use of the one power.

With angreals, you could go my the five powers, earth, water, wind, etc, and call them angreal or water or fire; that way you could uses an angreal of fire with Firespark, Fireball or Blossoms of Fire.

Somewhat related, the idea of having 'field effects' in certain areas has always intrigued me. Big decreases in weave strength in Far Madding and Stedding (and perhaps smaller decreases in Tear and Amador), boosts in Tar Valon and Ebou Dar (Kin). Increases in Taint damage along the Blight. Maybe increase poison in the Waste (everything is poisonous there. ). Stuff like that. Since probably planning for V2 I've thought about it, but it always gets pushed out. Perhaps someday. With angreals, you could go my the five powers, earth, water, wind, etc, and call them angreal or water or fire; that way you could uses an angreal of fire with Firespark, Fireball or Blossoms of Fire. Angreal and Ter'angreal in general are something I also want to work into the game and something I've thought about since before I even worked on the game (there used to be Angreal in one of Craig's versions...). The trick is balancing them so their not too powerful. Perhaps this will finally make it in V5....

I dono if these suggestions are too old or something or what ever...last post was a year ago ish...but I was thinking of channelers 2nd hand could be shields, weave based shields. These shields would be increased from power type skills like weave focus ect.
The other idea is have weapons +dmg, +%dmg only affect weapons, not weaves. This could allow for ter angreal and angreal and sa angreal to be not over powerd but usefull. Keep them rare though...
Another idea I had for ter angreal, have it give a peak at what types of items prefix or suffix someone has, with a chance of failure, or inconsistency...
also if your looking to balance weave users and melee users...war horses, have you seen a chaneler on a war horse? Have them attack!...aiel and oiger present a problem...but a work around can be found there...

oh and size matters (no pun intended) but if you had something like oh an access key its size would not allow you to have any other angreal/sa angreal...ter angreal could have thier own inventory space, lots of them were rings and such...though some were rods so maybe one could fall into both categories...

I like the idea of defensive weaves. The tricky part with adding them is that based on how the weave stats are calcuated, there could be potential for someone to have equipment that uses more than their max equip points. Worth looking into though.
As for ter'angreal, angreal and sa'angreal, there's LOTS of potential ways these could be used. The trick is finding ways to keep them all balanced. I do like your suggestions though.
