clan stuff confuses me... probably cause i am a noob. XD *needs to find a GoS tutor. lmao*
<spur-of-the-moment comments of randomness> what about like a 'black' market? good items that are cheep. but to get to the market itself would have to be hard. idk... like it moves from place to place and sometimes just plain disappears. *shrugs* or a curtain level/wins/gold requirement. </spur-of-the-moment comments of randomness>

i have no life.... another idea: somewhere around the box that you enter your character info maybe have it say that there is: - 500 character limit
- Xamount character limit for each line(if there is one)
- this, this, this, and this symbols are not allowed
thats all i can think of at the moment... *plays with it more* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ what about being able to equip weapons that are for higher leveled people but you have like a 95% chance of stabbing/shooting yourself with it XD a bit random i know... <__<''' i had a lot of sugar that day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ when you are looking at the nearby list maybe have it set so that your name is a different color like green/purple or something so that you can find your name faster.

had another though. i am puttin' it here cause it is just a little thing and not worthy of its own topic. lol
when you have a trade in your messages maybe it should have the name of the item be a link so that little pop up box will come up telling you about it. *shrugs* may come handy... or not.. lol XD

I like the idea of having higher level items able to be equipped, but with a high degree of damage to self, FF.
Also, having one's name be a different color would be extremely helpful - especially in overpopulated areas.
In fact, all your ideas sound good to me - although the Black Market could be difficult to implement. In fact, why not just make the current Market be the Black Market? We're already going to have Clan-controlled Shops in the cities, with the revenue going to the ruling power, so the Market would effectively be an underground thing.

I like Hugh's idea....Have the current market be the way to "deal under the table" so that the ruling clan gets less money...
that could actually be a great strategy....selling all your items in another clan's territory to prevent them from gaining income.

another thought about the trades. i have found that sometimes the trades don't work out(like you dont have enough money or maybe the other person dosn't have that item any more, or whatever), and weather the trade works out or not you get sent to the other person's page. so. i think there should be something(maybe up in the top in blue with all the other little message things that go up there) it say trade completed or trade couldn't be compleated because you dont have enough gold/*name of other person* dose not have that item anymore... or something along that lines.

This seems to be the idea thread at the moment
I dont know how your doing the map but if a clan owns an area will they get benefits from the stables will their members be able to buy horses for cheaper and be able to travel from the dock for cheaper
or will the clan leader be able to set the prices for the stables and the dock and gain money from whoever uses them
Also if your using the dock can you have a random chance of being attacked by pirates n stuff like that theres always room for pirates in my opinion
and erm for new players maybe not allow them to be dueled or duel for like the first day or 2 that way you dont get the gold robbed off you as soon as you join the game
Is there anyway you could do it so you could see a history of which clans a character been in just so you can get rid of potential spies

Hmmmm - that's an interesting idea Kushiel. Clan membership history could be useful, but I think people would just create new alts and use them as spies, so it would be ultimately useless. Also, I think where you've been should be a private matter...

Oh also to make taverns useful why not have an option to sleep there when they log off if a clan controls the area all the members can sleep for free and then the clan can charge how ever much they want for outsiders (its the only thing i can think of to make taverns useful)
It might of been said before but random attacks when moving town would add a bit more interest also if your moving to more dangerous areas the more chance of attack etc etc

hum. maybe if you stay at a tavern(or would we call it an inn?) you could gain battles faster?

I was thinking more along the lines of a safe house but i dont like the idea of people being safe from attacks *sigh* should of thought it through more still battles gaining them faster hmm i cant really see any point whilst your offline to gain battles faster but i suppose maybe it could allow you to store more battles or something danged taverns are just so bloody useless

We could make it so staying at an inn gives you extra stamina, or faster stamina regain (assuming we'll have stamina, of course).
