On the clan page it talks about good players only or evil players only, how does one win the good or evil rating?

I'm confused by your question! lol Is this something new in the game as of today? I haven't been online since early this morning, so if it is, I wouldn't have seen it...
Or is it the affiliation setting for the clan? If so, a player who chooses ranged skills (and has at least one that has blue letters, which you don't get until lvl 20) would count as Light, a player with melee skills (at least one red, again at level 20) belongs to the Shadow, whereas a player with only white skills (they are the ones with a lot of defense, or mixed ranged/melee? I've never picked them, so I don't know too well) is neutral. Since the blue and red don't show up until lvl 20, everyone below that level is neutral.
Hmm, I probably shouldn't be answering questions I don't even understand... lol

Yeah I think he means the affiliation setting. I think I read somewhere that Tim removed the good and evil thing, so we wont get red or blue names now. He wanted the good and evil to be decided on something else than ranged or melee fighting.

Yes, I read that too. But the colours are still there when you choose the skills... Did any clan test to change the settings, and did that work as before with ranged vs melee? Or does it do nothing at all at the moment, while we wait for another determinator between light and shadow?

You guys were on the right track. It does have to do with a characters affiliation. It bothered me that all melee characters ended up listed as Shadow, so I changed it so skills don't effect affiliation. So right now everyone is and will remain neutral. I left the clan options in there because I do plan on adding those back in eventually. Plus you can use it to declare which way your clan leans (not shadow or not light). You could also go 'Light', 'Shadow', or 'Not Neutral' and stop anyone from joining I suppose. Sorry for the confusion. Maybe Tinto can add this to her wiki when she gets it up. ;D
