Glad you're enjoying things so far! gosos.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cdv3&action=display&thread=573Check out this board. Has descriptions of all the changes made to V3 so far. The link is actually to the index I made to make finding info a bit easier. If you still have questions, feel free to shoot me a PM or post on the Newbie Central board, as I'm sure someone else would hop in and answer if I don't get back to you soon enough.

Thank you!
Will there be talisamns or items to upgrade things like Firespark?
Also I think some NPCs greatly need to be tweaked. For example..
Jaem Dionysus deals a respectable blow. The Bear takes 6 damage. Jaem Dionysus has 54 health and The Bear has 54 health.
The Bear nearly misses completely. Jaem Dionysus takes 4 damage. The Bear has 54 health and Jaem Dionysus has 50 health.
Jaem Dionysus comes forward with a predictable attack. Jaem Dionysus has 50 health and The Bear has 54 health.
The Bear attacks. Jaem Dionysus takes 11 damage. The Bear has 54 health and Jaem Dionysus has 39 health.
Jaem Dionysus deals a respectable blow. The Bear takes 4 damage. Jaem Dionysus has 39 health and The Bear has 50 health.
The Bear gets in a lucky hit in. Jaem Dionysus takes 13 damage. The Bear has 50 health and Jaem Dionysus has 26 health.
Jaem Dionysus connects with a solid hit. The Bear takes 2 damage. Jaem Dionysus has 26 health and The Bear has 48 health.
The Bear attacks. Jaem Dionysus takes 12 damage. The Bear has 48 health and Jaem Dionysus has 14 health.
Jaem Dionysus attacks. Jaem Dionysus has 14 health and The Bear has 48 health.
The Bear connects with a solid hit. Jaem Dionysus takes 12 damage. The Bear has 48 health and Jaem Dionysus has 2 health.
Jaem Dionysus deals a respectable blow. The Bear takes 6 damage. Jaem Dionysus has 2 health and The Bear has 42 health.
The Bear deals a respectable blow. Jaem Dionysus takes 10 damage. The Bear has 42 health and Jaem Dionysus has 0 health.
The Bear wins
Misses completely but I'm still hit?
Predictable? It's a bear!
Also I've yet to beat a Drunken soldier on either of my accounts, that could just be the way I have equipment set up, but I think it should be easier to beat NPcs, so people don't have to PVP people handfuls of levels lower then them just to get exp.
Anyways this game is awesome and I'm really looking forward to it's release. I hope it catches on because it's a blast to play.
Also something I was thinking of, are there any plans to release some sort of game mechanic that will bestow titles on our characters? I see a lot of people putting "al" or "Al" in their names which just ends up making their names look silly without the apostrophe; not to mention it takes up character space in the name itself.
I was thinking the easiest thing would be Clan leaders can bestow titles before or after your name at a reasonable length. This would also help people who are Aiel and want their sept and clan titles.

Talismen can't be used on weaves. There may be alternatives in later versions. Hmm. Completely missing should make it do 0% damage, so I'm not sure how it missed yet damaged you. As for predictable, maybe the bear's smart. (actually, it just uses the same battle text for NPCs and PvP, so that's why). The NPCs will randomly appear as anywhere from 2 levels below you to 2 levels above you (for those of you close paying attention, I reduced the range about a week back.) Different enemies will appear at higher levels in each area, so perhaps you're battling in an area that tends to have higher level Drunken Soldiers? I'd say follow some of the advice you're getting from others about equipment/skills/etc in your newbie thread, as that should help you win more battles all around. I have planned clan leaders being able to set up ranks for their members, which would work sorta like what you're talking about with titles. Am considering pushing Ranks out to the next version though, only so I can do a much more thorough job and do it right. We'll see how it all turns out. Welcome to the game!

I'm not quite where I wanted to be at this point, but I'm not far off. Only a few relatively minor changes to make and some bug fixes to look into still. We're definately in the home streatch. My new goal is to have all changes made as well as most of the bugs fixed within a week from now. If I can do that, things should still be on track
I'm going to go ahead and reset the test site, as none of the remaining changes SHOULD cause database issues (unless I botch something while I'm changing it, which I wouldn't rule out). There will be this reset, and then one final pre-launch reset a few days before the launch to make sure there aren't any reset bugs to work out.
As for when the launch will actually be, I'm still not comfortable setting a date, but I should have it firmed up this week. If I were a betting man though, I'd clear my schedule for the evening of Sunday, May 3rd (CDT)...

Added the option to 'Kill' your character (delete it). It's in your character settings.
As a result, I tweaked one of the 'I agree' check boxes when you create the character. Killing off your characters does reopen some avenues of alt abuse, so just know that if you are abusing your alts for the benefits of one of your other characters, someone else's character, or a clan, I'll step in and put a stop to it (and you *evil smile*).

what about an option to retard your characters level up? stop at a level. then turn level up back on when you want. any duel percent gain during this time would be lost.
