I'm just gonna throw this out there.. been lurking the boards and the game for some time now, and what I've always wanted to see in the game is the ability to modify your hp/sta/str, at this moment i realize theres no raw str modifier for chars. as for the implementation I was thinking in the lines of traditional rpgs at lvlup you get character points which you can spend. I think this would really improve the diversity in characters. just a thought.

I'm sure if someone wanted to take the weeks needed and search through the suggestion archive, there might be something similar in there, but I have no problems rehashing suggestions. As the game changes, so do the needs and opinions of players (and creators).
Actually, in the very very first version of the game I played (maybe the first), I think Craig had stats like these in there, or at least something more similar than what we have now. Though in that version you could spend exp on either stat increases or level ups (equipment was all based on levels then). Was quite interesting having dozens of level 1's strong enough to 1 hit people 5 levels up (couldn't attack any higher back then).
I digress though. I like the idea of adding these kind of stats, as like you said, it allows for more diversity amongst the players. What I would probably do if I implemented this is give each nationality slightly different starting stats (maybe with diffs between men and women as well), but each person would start with 5 or so points to spend how they like. Then you'd get a point every few levels.
The tricky part with adding a system like that is balancing. Each stat would need equal benefits and equal potentially negative consequences for leaving low. So while actually adding the stats in wouldn't be too hard, finding that balance would be the tricky part. Like I said, I like the idea, and I can see myself adding it in a future version. Won't be in V6 though, as I want to make sure all the character changes I added last version get balanced before I add more big character changes.
Side note: Thanks for bringing some life to the suggestion board again. Seriously guys, the more suggestions I get, the better ideas I can add into the future versions of the game. Go Team!

you should be happy Tim - we've been so tied up with actually playing the game, we haven't had time to come up with any crazy new ideas :-P that probably means that the game's really, really good already, too

alMordre's right. Too busy playing to think about suggestions. The new quests and Skills have added a whole new level of sheer awesomeness to the game. Let's see. Umm, give the Quests their own tab on the bio page, like the stats. And, find a way to have both the clan flag, and the original Town flag on the town page. And, that's all I got. And they're not even new suggestions.

Hmmm....what if I made a background for each town page with the actual city flag repeating with a lowered opacity?

I think what we were asking about was for town page to be similar to the clan page, with a flag on each side of the page - town on one side and clan on the other, and just push the travel/bank info block (not the buttons in the middle) and the mini-map down the page - something relatively simple to code...
Also - the other idea I had - a different color for the clan chat background so there's an obvious indication which chat you're typing into. Or, even better - maybe a different color for the text...

Even with that, I'm sure you'll still find a way to accidentally give away our top secret battle plans, alMordre.

Nothing's impossible. Just a lot of work, though some of that work is worth doing. ;D
