This game has gone no where, there is no risk in the game, its still for cowards who can't handle a real game where they can be KILLED. www.warofempires.com come and let me kill you Piss on GOS , and piss on Tim, Craig would be ashamed of what you have done.

Well, if you play WoE casually, then yeah you're not gonna get hit too badly. The one Age I played I was in the Empire the produced the GO for that Age, Headhunt (the GO, no the Age of Headhunt). Admittedly, I was one of the more junior members of the empire, but it sure did keep me busy. If you're involved with real wars between Empires in WoE, then you have to be vigilant or else you'll get hit bigtime, with drastic consequences. Especially if you're a noob and as soon as you're in your first war you go and attack each member of the enemy empire (guilty, and I f'ing paid for that mistake, though was vigilant enough to only lose 2 regs).
Anyways, I agree whole-heartedly that WoE definately has more risk that GoS. You leave your WoE char unchecked for a few days (or even 24 hrs if you're in one of the more prominent empires) and you'll pay for it.
It's all a matter of taste. If you want more risk, I'd recommend WoE. It can be quite fun if that's what you like if you stay vigilant and are in a good empire. However, there already is a WoE game and that's not what I'm trying to make here.

Don't change GoS. I don't have time to check my character every day. Its nice for us casual players.

However, there already is a WoE game and that's not what I'm trying to make here. Its great to know you've tried WOE out hope you have a chance to come back and try another age sometime. And dealing with the rest of your post you are correct you need daily log in times to have a chance at WOE since it is a small game itself you will get hit no matter what rank your at. Games along those lines such as travian that are so huge you have a better chance to go without being slaughtered. Now a small comment that doesn't really belong in this thread. Just a idea comparing GOS to Gladiatus both run along the same game play with gladiatus though once you've reached a certain lvl you do have a chance of being killed although not permanently because of regeneration or the option of buying potion's off the mkt for healing. If your gone for several days at a time who cares how many times you die basically all it does is change your victory to defeat ratio. You will however gain extra xp for killing instead of just wounding your opponent. If you ever had a chance to look at it there maybe some things you like. And I agree with you its a matter of taste on type of Game style I don't see how anyone can really compare WOE with GOS because you have armies on one hand and single character role play on the other. So Tim thanks for giving us a free game to enjoy and talk about.

fallensword was good if u had the money. (real money, its too much of a pain to try to use game money to buy even one FS points) couldnt do much without those FS points.

Well, since someone mentioned Fallensword, you can do a whole hell of a lot without donating. There are plenty of ways to make enough in game to get fallensword points. It just takes effort. But then some don't like to do the work and have things handed to them or just click the mouse over and over again. If you are interesting in learning how, just click my sig and message me ingame. I do have a fond place in my heart for this little old game but it doesn't go anywhere. Got to level thirty with 5 different classes, maxed out the Town's bank in the city i took and an now holding, we were the second clan to over 10k points in a city, but there is nothing left to do but level up to use the top of the line gear but it doesn't change anything as the mobs and sets are all pretty generic (as everyone will be using similar setups). It just doesn't hold my interest past 30.

Just so everyone's clear on this, grave digging as I am by posting here, Hellmaker cries like a little girl when you beat him up on WoE. I should know, I've done it. My compulsory need to insult/remind him of this in case he trolls this forum again aside...
The vast majority of WoE players are NOTHING like Hellmaker. It does have substantially greater risk though. A lot of the enjoyment of playing it if you do, only comes after you find a group to run with and learn or are taught the basics of how to play. If anyone does decide they want to try that, I or someone else can help hook you up with suitable people to play with.

I like this game. I sorta play aegis or kingsword...but things have changed in aegis players have dropped to a few hundred and KS is still new, has 2 people designing it like this game...and this game is based on WoT....and I like that....sure a little more risk would be nice, but at the same time if this game was more attack and risk orientated, I would not like to be able to run around the map in 5 seconds....I mean maybe merge attack points with travel points and have fitness also determine how fresh you are for battle or some such....I dono Im just throwing this out there...
