i noticed that it is hard to use really good talis since most of the good ones use the same amount of points as some weapons, armor, ect. am i the only one who has to choose between good talis on weak weapons, ect. or weak talis on good weapons and stuff?

the point system makes it really hard to use the really good drops u get. is there anyway u could give us more points per level or let us buy points with gold? (like 1 gold = 5 points)

but this is the whole point of the points system - you can' t use awesome talismans on awesome weapons, so you have to choose and make a decision - use your brain a little!
it adds another level of depth and strategy to the game - games aren't meant to be easy where you can just use the best stuff and win all the time.
experiment with both good talismen on bad weapons and visa versa - this will tell you which works best for the way you want to play.

but thats half the point - its cost to experiment. it makes the game last longer too as you have lots more combinations to try out over time.
also you're doing one other way of finding out whats good - research - ask around, read other people's posts - ive done that before and seen good combinations that give good agility with a strong attack etc. Also see how the game's formulas work from Tim's discussion etc and narrow down a few combinations to try.
as for what i use, i currently only have a sharp stick or something. I'm waiting for the proper release - but even then i might not play because of this gold issue - I spend all day dealing with numbers at work, the last thing I want to do is have to think about how to read the numbers in this game when I get home.

Also this way it makes the game last longer - if you want to use the best talisman on the best weapon you probably have the wait ages to reach a level high enough. And adding longevity can only be a good thing.

As hellsangels correctly pointed out, this is actually by design. The wide range of talismen and weapons and the limits on points are made to allow for not only a plethora of possible equipment combinations that are competative with each other (approximately 434,413,429,483,710 combinations if my math is right;)) but also to allow for people to continue to grow their characters at higher level. I'm not sure what the most expensive weapon combination is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it required you to be near level 100 to use. That (plus v3's skill system) should hopefully keep the game more interesting for longer, as opposed to everything dying out after lvl 40 or 50. So if you're having a hard time deciding what's a good equipment setup, then I just take that as I did a good job balancing things and keeping it interesting. *Note to self to remember that number next time someone tells me the game needs more equipment choices. *
