Actually, that helped. The fact that you of all people keep finding them let me figure out exactly what's happening. It's actually a new bug, just has the same result. Problem is in the code that slowly allows new talismen to be found. At level 42, you should be able to find all the talismen. Once you hit 45, it looks for the next batch, which doesn't exist, therefore giving you (you guessed it) a blank talisman.
Should be an easy fix, but I want to make it on the test site first to make sure I don't break anything. Tonight will be busy, but I'll try to get it in later tonight if possible.

Haha. No. Maybe you can take solace in knowing that your discovery has spared your fellow players the fate of having blank talismen. It should be fixed now. Hopefully I didn't break anything.
