Decided to put this here instead of the GoS index. I'll be removing it from there later tonight. Upload code | 100% | Setup SQL databases | 100% | Verify old code working | 100% | Planning of changes | 100% | Code Changes | 100% | Testing | 99% |

Updated. I'm being pretty conservative on the code changes and testing as I'm not sure how many changes will be invovled in some of the other things I have planned.

Updated again. Planning for this first release is for all intensive purposes finished, but I didn't take 100% as I'm still very much open to suggestions and will likely need to adjust things as I go a little. Coding and testing might still be on the low side too, but I'd rather be conservative about my estimates than get you all fired up too soon.

am I on the right testing site? www.gostones.netI'm not seeing any new interfaces or anything as described. The only change I have it that I'm now an awful lot richer. Like several million gold richer...

Didn't mean for you to feel left out, Dashvrek. There's a link to the test site in the news fader on the forum homepage, incase you need it again.

UPDATE: Closing in on v1. Really, the only thing left that I REALLY want to add in that isn't basically cosmetic is clan member pay. Other than that, there's just a few display issues that need some work (mainly the town stuff). I have a date in mind for v1 that is looking more and more plausible, but I want to wait just a bit more before making it official. But we're definately getting close.
I decided that if there's time, I'll work on adding back in donations and donation bonuses, but I'm not gonna let that stuff delay v1. If nothing else I can do an update to v1 or something that has the donation stuff in it.

EDIT: I went ahead and added a link for donations to the main login page (same spot that Craig had it). No pressure to actually donate, just there if you want to. Right now donating doesn't get you anything, but when donator enhancements do get added (need to be settled and coded still) I'll go back and grant them to all who have previously donated to this site.

Ok. Here we go. Made some more changes tonight. Other than clan pay (see other post), they were layout changes mostly, though now only the ruling clan's leader/subleaders can access a town's shop settings and if you stop being allies with a clan you stop supporting them. With all those things crossed off, here's what I have left on my todo list for v1: Clan changesMake allies/enemies mutual
- Bug fixes
- Fix 'You found a' bug after duels (IE issue?)
Town minimap issue
- Blank Talisman drop
Change invite to post method
- General touch up stuff
- Update Reset scripts for new table data! (bold so I don't forget. Has to be done last so I get all the changes)
I have a few 'on the bubble' items that I might play around with if there's time, but these are the main ones. And most of them aren't deal breaking, meaning it's not the end of the world if they aren't done for v1. That being said, I feel comfortable enough setting Sept 1st as the Official Launch of V1. Not sure on the time of day, but will let you all know hopefully a few days before hand when it exactly(ish) it will be. I chose that day because it's a Monday (not a weekend, so more should be around even though it is a US holiday I believe), it gives me enough time to do some thorough testing, and it's an easy date to remember. If that day is bad for you, sorry, but that's what I've chosen. All you can do is hope that something comes up for me and I have to push it off.

Will you have an 'end-of-age' date?
I remember that there was discussion about players feeling like it was 'hopeless' once the top players gained a certain 'distance'...

No 'end-of-age date perse. I'm hoping to have v2 done by year end (probably wishful thinking, with everything I have planned, but it's possible), so I only plan for v1 to run for 3-4 months. That shouldn't give anyone too much time to pull ahead too far, especially if we get people staying active and get some territory struggles going. If things get stale though, I may throw out a v1.5 or something with a reset to keep things interesting. I might add an "Age ends in x days" counter like I've seen Craig use once I know when the switch will happen. Not putting it in for v1 because there is a chance I MAY reset it sometime between now and then to test how everything works starting together at the same time (clan pay, upgrades, random starting, etc).

Allies and Enemies are now mutual! Still one more thing to add to it (notice when another clan changes stance towards you or accepts an alliance/peace offer), but that will be another night.
In order to change to be Allies or non enemies, both must agree. For non-allies or enemies changes, only one clan needs to make the change.
Have fun testing it. I didn't go back in and adjust all the current stuff.
