this is wrong
"Clan Battle Results! fearless: +22. Justin: -16"
Justin is at least 5 levels higher than me.... however, i can pwn a lower leveled character and get 108 points...
the rewards should be greater when battling an opponent of equal or greater level...
there should be a penalty for bashing lower ranked players....

I know. It's not right. I've tried to make it right but I obviously didn't. Battling those at close levels should give more points than those at lower levels. I plan on reworking things for V9. Sorry.

Proposed changes to clan battle (and tourney) pts for V9: - Change it to 1pt per 5 health difference to 1pt per 10 health difference. Should reduce the swing of points in unbalanced battles. - Penalty for for attacking lower level players: == If opponent is 5 to 9 levels below you, you only receive 75% of your normal points. == If opponent is 10 to 14 levels below you, you only receive 50% of your normal points. == If opponent is 15 or more levels below you, you only receive 25% of your normal points. - Clans gain 4pts for each main clan member in the town at hour change. 2pts for any supporting members. Maybe this will make it more tempting to hand out in the town. If nothing else, you'll might be able to catch someone trying to sneak in at hour change to get the easy points. Of course all this will need thoroughly tested on the next test site, but do you guys think these changes might help? Any problems this might cause you can think of?

This looks like an improvement. Honestly, I don't particularly like the set-up of point numbers gained based on the difference in health at the end of the battle - I feel like it unfairly weights high-damage players in clan battles. The adjustment should help a bit, I think. (To be quite frank, I want to know how SL manages to consistently score in the upper 20k in terms of NPC points for every single battle, but I get the feeling that's a trade secret ) One question: do double duels count for the same clan battle Ji as singles, or are the doubled, like experience or normal Ji?

One question: do double duels count for the same clan battle Ji as singles, or are the doubled, like experience or normal Ji? No, points for tournaments and clan battles are NOT doubled in Double Duels. Created too many potential issues to double the points.

Hugh, you need to watch what you say to him. His head's pretty inflated already.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of time to deflate heads next version, Tim. (But I'll certainly take your advice into account)

LOL That's the spirit Hugh. I do need humbling from time to time. I've found once a year is perfect, and I'm over due.
