1. In my inventory, why are some items yellow? When I try to sell those items, it won't let me, and I'm not prompted with anything.
2. What determines whether or not you can sell an item?
3. I think "points" are equipment points - you have a total, and each item takes up some points when you wear it. Is there any way to get more points other than leveling up?

1. In my inventory, why are some items yellow? When I try to sell those items, it won't let me, and I'm not prompted with anything. Yellow items are cached, meaning that you can't accidently sell them. You can uncache them by selecting them and using the Cache/Uncache buttton at the bottom of the screen. The exeception to this is Clan items (items taken from the Clan Vault). These are always cached and cannot be uncached, as they can only be returned to the vault, not sold. If you're a channeler, your Weave also cannot be sold or dropped. Any non-cached item can be sold/dropped. Correct. Points in the inventory refer to equipment points and that's pretty much how it works. There is no way other than leveling up to get more points, but there are some skills or items that lower the points costs of certain item types.

More questions:
What determines who wins a fight? There have been fights that ended with neither me nor my NPC opponent at 0 health, yet somehow the game decides who wins.
What does luck do?
Is there any place to store items, without buying a bigger pack?
So I bought a new pack from the outfitter, and now the price of my old one is shown in red. Does that mean if I select my old one (canvas sack) I will receive the money in red?

Fights end when either one of you reach 0 health or 12 turns pass. At that point, whoever has the most health wins.
Luck increases your chance to find items when battling NPCs and increases your gold steal when dueling.
New to V9 (so available on the test site), you can buy an estate in a wilderness area at level 10 (and another one every 20 levels after that). Estates have additional storage that can be upgraded to made bigger. Other than that, just your inventory and buying bigger storage.
When you buy a new pack, pouch or horse at the outfitter, you get to sell your old one for half it's value and it goes towards the new one. So if you go from an upgraded pack back to the basic one (that has no cost), you'll receive half of what it's worth back.

In my profile under full stats, it says that my damage is "22-31" and yet I've done way more than 31 damage in fights. What determines your max damage? I think the highest I've dealt is like 57, is that because of random bonuses like 5% knife damage or whatever?

check the wiki in case there's better info, but here's the basics: your "dmg" stat is the base number for dmg, each hit pulls a random number within that range. I forget the exact order, but two other things come into play. A 'critical hit' modifier: a random-generated number from 0-100, which determines the 'strength' of the hit - middle-range numbers leave the hit dmg as is, lower numbers reduce the hit, higher numbers strengthen the hit (that random number is boosted by your Accuracy stat and reduced by your opponent's Dodge stat). Then, there's the "dmg%" stat - which straight-up multiplies your dmg at some point during the battle math (and is countered by a reduction from your opponent's "def%" stat).

Is there a store that sells ter'angreal?
Is there a way to take an effect off an item? For example, I just found "Noble Headgear of Surprise" and I don't need the stupid headgear or surprise, but the Noble enchantment would be nice...

nope, and nope. ter'angreal are strictly luck-of-the-draw, at least until later in the game when people have their own equipment decked out and start selling a few t'a's in the market. aside from relying on luck, your best bet is to let your clan know what you're looking for, and hope a kind soul will toss a spare your way...
Earlier versions of the game sold t'a's in shops, but that created some problems/balance issues with things being (relatively) too easy to get your hands on...

Nope, no store, but Felic and I are going to be using the market more in the official version, so keep your eyes on that. People haven't been using that feature much, so we're gonna try to revive it.
And, no, you can't break down an item that's already combined. Can't remember the reason though.

Cool, thanks guys. I look forward to seeing the market used more - I've bought stuff from it, and have sold one thing haha.
Thanks for the advice on ter'angreal.
Next question: What does it mean when an item in my inventory is red?
