It's that time again! Time to launch another version of A Game of Stones!
GoS V8 Official Launch:
Thursday, September 1st at 8PM CDT.

Some of the new additions this version:
Clan Battles - 24 Hour battles between multiple clans for gold and control of a town!
Tournaments - Compete against other players in a variety of competitions.
Town Upgrades - Build new buildings in town to give bonuses to players in the town and earn taxes for your town and your player.
Achievements - Complete simple to complex tasks for the bettering of your character and earn rewards. Good way to introduce new players to the mechanics of the game, and to challenge current players with something to strive for.
Change in Clan Support - Modified clan support to make changes in alliances more important.
Stronger NPCs - Beefed up the NPCs to be more of a challenge instead of being such push overs.
Removal of Travel Time - Travel between towns is now 1 second for each move. Traveling costs stamina, though horses reduce stamina loss.
Improved Blacksmith - Can repair items while equipped if you have points available.
Improved Battle Display - Updated graphics with a smarter interface.
Updated Wiki - Wiki pages updated with the latest of what's what and how things work.
Also will be a slight change to make the launch more flexible. Players who start at 8PM will have only 30 turns to work with instead of 50. Every 2 hours after that players will start with 2 additional turns up to 70 turns (after 20 hours, so 4PM on the 2nd). From then on, new players will start with 70 turns. So in other words, anyone who starts between 8PM the 1st and 4PM the 2nd will have the same number of turns to use!
