Other ideas: - Knife specialization from start (like other weapons) - Shadowspawn race (couse I see some people that uses shadowspawn avatars) (that would be expecially good if more differences between Darkfriends and not Df are added) - Spaces or ' accepted for names (A lot of WoT themed names uses them, expecially for surnames) - Algai'd'siswai and Maiden of the Spears specialized classes for Aiels (they have only defensive oriented classes at the moment) - Wilder specialized class for Channelers, and maybe "Weave Specialization" ad a specialization after lvl 20 (like shield or armor specialization are now) - More clan bonuses to difference clans more, that are gained in warious manners (City control, buyed with clan money, clan acheivments, etc...) And, in general, a little rebalance on some things. That would take a longer post, but shortly: - Classes: Some are overpowered, others are underpowered. It's easy to tell couse some classes are never played while others (Wolfbrother, for example) are played too much. If you want I can make a longer post about this. - Stats: Speed seems to be a bit overpowered over the rest of the stats. - Professions: Performer is a lot less powerfull then the similar Cutpurse. Even alone, you get at lvl 1 as much as a Performer at lvl 10. If you are with 20 people, you get as much as a performer could get at lvl 200... Survival and other non-gold professions need a buff too. All that IMHO, of course.

It would be nice if we could have the option of refreshing battles without having to wait for the battle to unfold.

my other is to order your equipment inverntory similar to that of the blacksmith layout. such as the equipped items at top, vault items next and them non-equipped items below, and also a button or two or three that allows for quick selection of all items either for each individual section or the entire page

Nice ones, Cid. Randall, I love your ideas. Perhaps we could introduce periodic Trolloc raids or something? So, Trollocs come down, flood an area - what does this mean? Two effects: First, all characters in wilderness areas would lose half stamina, half gold on hand, and suffer 50% damage to all equipment. Second, all towns in this region would suffer 50% loss in Ji to all clans (essentially, there would be a simple destabilizing effect - not a huge threat to the ruling clan, but if there's a power-struggle going on, it would certainly make it easier for the less developed clans in the town to cause trouble). In addition, the population of the town would be decreased somewhat. What would be really cool would be if there were specialized quests that occurred during a raid - but instead of "beat 25 Trollocs and you get a prize" it would be "beat 25 Trollocs or the town gets bombed back to 0 development" (that means all shop upgrades and town infrastructure upgrades get wiped out. The quest would be for an entire clan, ideally (ie, Golden Company members must beat x trollocs in the next 24 hours or else the clan will lose 50% Ji in Maradon (for example). Another way of doing the specialized "defend the town" quest would be to make it a reward - but instead of it being a ter'angreal, item, or money, it would be Ji in the town. So, if GC has 200 Ji in Maradon, with control of the town, while War of Empires has 150. Trollocs attack, bringing both clans Ji down to 100 and 75, respectively. Assuming both GC and WoE complete the quest, we go back to the original numbers - both clans double their Ji (bringing it back to 200 and 150). BUT Assuming GC does not complete the quest (for whatever reason), one of two things would happen (depending on whether it became a Clan-Ji quest or a preserver quest). Either WoE gains 100% Ji (bringing them up to 150 while GC only has 100 now), or else GC loses 50% (making the values 75 for WoE and 50 for GC). Any thoughts? Tim, would this be physically possible to code?

In general I like the idea, Hugh. Some of the effects you have seem pretty harsh though. A fully upgraded town getting set back to 0 would be hugely demoralizing. Or if you have 10,000 Ji in a city and suddenly you're back at 5,000? Would take a long time to make that back up. However, the idea of large groups of enemies attacking an area and needed fended off or else there are negative consequences is something I am giving a serious look at for V9.

That would be totally awesome, Tim. Even if the consequences were less, it'd still be a great addition to the game.

Some folks keep bringing up how no one stays in towns - maybe there could be some dynamic affecting these raids based on how many characters are in the town when the randomized raid event occurs. More parked in town, raid less likely to happen, or less damage incurred, etc. The more people stay in towns, though, the more dynamic the town control situation gets. To offset the ease of hammering parked players for town pts, maybe there would be a +def% boost for each clanmate that's parked there? Or maybe a small kicker added to the calculation of randomized effects (wound, poison, etc) to make them more likely when friends are around? Nothing that hugely skews things, but I've always wondered if there could be a 'strength in numbers' effect in the game somehow.

Have a few ideas to encourage people to hang out in towns that I plan to add next version. I do like the strength in numbers idea though.

i like the idea that the more more people in town the better the towns defensive capabilities. you could even throw in a bonus for having the majority of players in the down during a raid being ruling clan members. (that was a mouthful) hehe or the ruling clan members take the brunt of the assult, or non ruling members too

Cid - I like! Especially the "strength in numbers" one. Certainly the ruling clan should bear the brunt of the assault. After all, if they don't, they're not really "ruling", are they?

Hmm...I gotta say I'm a little disappointed that when I suggested something similar in Game of Stones chat in the War of Empires game, it was poorly received, yet here it is applauded. *Envies Hugh his popularity*

Also: can we possibly have copies of our sent messages kept somewhere? I hate logging on, seeing a response to something I said, and then not remembering for the life of me what I said in the first place...
