through ch29 last night. apparently, I'm not as "over" the extended Perrin/Faile stuff as I thought. I catch myself growling every time I see Perrin's name starting a paragraph. On one hand, I like the sporadic bits of Perrin/Whitecloaks that build the tension, but it's not like we don't know that a confrontation of some sort is inevitable. GET ON WITH IT, already, I keep thinking.
Also, really glad that someone finally "out'd" Morgase. Now as soon as someone recognizes Balwer, that whole mess will be cleaned up.
Right now, can't really recall much else from 10-30. Some laughs for Mat getting one over on Joline. Once again, Elayne proves she needs a spanking and sent to her room. Cheers for *Egwene* getting one over on the Hall.

Cheers for Elayne getting one over on the Hall. Do you mean Egwene?  I though the Perrin stuff moved pretty quickly. I think it seems to drag only because 1) we're expecting this to happen and 2) we're not over the slowness of his story in recent books. Trust me though, in the last half of the books, lots of things happen...  |

Day 2 of WoT-reading hangover, trying to recall stuff at work in late afternoon... yes, I meant Egwene.  The Perrin stuff has moved quickly, it's just been popping up SO many times, it's kinda inducing the old dragging vibe. I've made it through ch38 now, and yeah, finally, some non-annoying Perrin stuff.  |
