What a great chapter, didn't you just love the fact that the framer was the one who was the one who gave Rand(when he was sick) and Mat a ride and the scarfs

Yeah. It's great how really minor characters keep popping up. Makes you wonder how much is coincidence and how much is ta'veren-ness. Interested to see where Rand is headed and who the "she" that won't be please is. Egwene maybe? Doubt he'd walk to Elayne in Caemlyn. Will be hilarious if after all this Rand just walks into the WT by himself and asks to talk to the Amyrlin...

It's most likely, Egwene, being so close to Tal Valon, but with an Andoran framer there it may be Elayne

I gotta vote for Egwene - they pretty much haven't crossed paths since she left Rhuidean. He's seen Elayne more recently than that...

Probably. But still will be interesting to see how they go about things. Time for the Dragon to know the Amyrlin's anger...

Cool - don't remember that. I wonder if what Rand's "put off too long" is actually the Black Tower, and if he's going to go ask Egwene for some help cleaning it up, since he's a little understaffed... That could make for an epic mess.

Ooo, I like the theories so far. Just finished my re-read of TGS last night, and couldn't stop there, so I read this too. I've got to say, I like the new Rand. I liked the anti-hero Rand too, but this could be awesome.
My first thought about the 'she' is that he was going to see Elayne, cause of the whole 'we're reborn for a second chance' and 'if I'm here, maybe she is too' thing. But, now that I've read this, especially Tim's recent post, I've changed my mind. If you recall, some of Egwene's followers haven't been heard from since they went to the BT, so, I think it'd be a great time for a tag-team Taim beat down.

Yeah, looking forward to the BT showdown. I'm sure that's something Egwene will bring up with Rand, as the BT is his (in name at least). Forced bonding of AS isn't something that will set well with the WT. She definitely has reasons to be angry with him...
As a side note, I think Rand's bond with Alanna's bond with Rand will get passed to Egwene. I think she's one the other 3 girls will be able to stand him being Bonded to, and it would work well for both of them politically.
