Today I'll talk about 2 of the types of quests available: Item and NPC quests, as well as one of the two ways quests are generated.
NPC Quests:
NPC quests are pretty much exactly what they say they are: quests to beat certain NPCs a certain number of times. Pretty simple and straight forward. Once you beat the desired number (or more) of the specific NPC, you may submit your quest to receive your reward.
Item Quests:
Item quests are your standard fetch quest. The quest will specify how many of what item you need to find and where you need to take them. The item in question could be a specific item with specific talismen on it, it could allow for any prefix and/or suffix talisman on it, or it could ask for no talisman usage. It could also ask for any item with a certain talisman used on it.
There will be a page that tracks your progress on all of your quests. For item quests, it will count your progress by how many of the items you're gathering you have in your inventory. Note that equipped items are not counted towards this progress. This is so when you submit an item quest, it does not steal your equiped items. You should also note that unlike other quests, you cannot submit the quest unless you are in the town you are supposed to take the items to, even if you have all the items needed.
Randomly-generated Quests:
Both Item and NPC quests are randomly generated in each town, having 3-5 randomly generated quests available at a time. NPC quests could be for any enemy from the surrounding wilderness areas. The item for item quest will be selected based on the average level of the characters in the town at the time. It will be an item that a character at that level could find in a drop. So the higher level the people in a town are, the better the requested item is. It should also be noted that the better the item the quest asks for, the better the reward.
Completing these randomly generated quests also will contribute slightly to a player's clan's score in the town the quest was offered from (probably somewhere around 10 points; will likely be adjusted a bit during testing). So if you want to take over a town, doing quests there would be a nice way to boost your clan's score!
