i think we need a stat that counteracts taint damage yet does damage itself because taint really adds up fast especially if you are wearing +60 taint weapons and armor lol
for example we could call it purity or something like that and it would do damage but if taint was encountered it would nullify taint by +x additionally this would either be stackable like taint damge ir it would work like speed and stun
but taint does have something to counter it. its called a sword.lol u kill the guy before taint hits u.lol im just joking. i thought about something like that too. but i dont think it would be completely fair. anybody can use taint yet it would be harder to fight someone who uses both purity AND taint. they would be almost unstoppable except by someone using the same thing which would nullify both.,
I think taint is fairly balanced in the current system as it is (unless it's become a problem at the really high levels, which last I knew it wasn't). While taint is unblockable and can really add up, there's also a decent chance of it not working at all. As someone that spent a lot of time trying an all taint combo at the beginning of v2 (until about lvl 25 or so), it's really hit or miss.
Plus I do want to try to keep the game at least somewhat based on the books....

heh i mean the talis would be the exact same lvl s +2 taint +2 purity etc i did not many use seperate stats i mean create something like fast is to stun you can equip speed and stun on the same weapon lets say a corrut tali of shayol ghul is +22 taint have a pure talisman of the one power which would give a +22 pure a pure tali of shayol ghul would have +10 purity and +12 taint a corrupt tali of the one power would give +10 taint and +12 purity it would be the same thing as having it all in taint but just giving a way to counter it
Give me your trust, said the queen on her throne, for I must bear the burden all alone. Trust me to lead and judge and to rule, and no man will think you a fool. But trust is the sound of the grave-dog's bark. Trust is the sound of betrayal in the dark. Trust is the sound of a soul's last breath. Trust is the sound of Death.
