A bug was found with the experience calculation for winning a duel vs. a member of the clan ruling the town you are in. Extra XP was being rewarded. As much as I hate making changes to the game after an official launch, especially with regards to xp, I felt it was worth it due to the nature of bug to fix it.
Sorry for the issue. Some players XP are slightly inflated from where they really should be, but there's no way to tell exactly who and how much. The only way to even things out properly would be a reset, which I don't think is quite necessary. Really, the bug was mostly unknown and doesn't appear to have been exploited purposefully, so for the most part it was just luck that for those that got the bonus.
A special thanks to Cruor Vult for helping me find and identify the problem.
