what is resource gathering? it was before i started playing so i have no idea

It was absolutely horrible! You'd go into the woods (or equivalent for the other resources) and then you'd click "gather wood" and had to answer multiple choice questions correctly. After you got 3 consecutive ones right (it was 3, right?) you got x number of wood planks. Then when you had as much wood as you could carry, you brought that into town and sold it, and then went back. And the wood and ore and furs were needed by the crafters, so they could make weapons. If there were no resources in the town you were, you had to either have a gatherer yourself, or get someone else to do some runs for you. You could be gatherer or crafter. There was a trader, too, wasn't it? You'd put points on what you wanted to do, and get better at it. Making weapons was kind of fun, you could always make sure you could make your favourite weapons, but resource gathering was absolutely horrible! And Tim knows we will all rebel if he puts it back in, even if we voted for it  |

resorce gathering sound tedious to me and im already pushed to my time limits creating havok and mayhem with my alts

As discribed beautifully by Tinto, resource gathering is the perfect example of a great concept that didn't pan out in the implementation (it started at 3 times, Tinto, but then increased the more you tried to gather in an hour). The biggest issue was that it was pretty much infinite money for anyone who had enough time on their hands to pace back and forth between the gathering sites and the towns (or use another window to gather while you're in the town until Craig fixed that). It was an attempt to give you guys something to do other than duels, and while it succeeded in that aspect, it was widely disliked, pretty boring (more mindless than dueling), and screwed up the economy so bad that gold was pointless. Only exciting part was increasing your crafting skills to see what you could make.
I do want to add something other than duels to the game, but hopefully it will end up better than resource gathering did.

how about making "unique" weapons? after putting 2 talis on a weapon, u can add one other for like 5 gold, then a 4th for 10 gold, ect. would be pretty cool on the really high levels. just a thought
