I was wondering if we could institute a sort of Governor system. Or Stewards like Rand has. The Black Tower now controls 4 cities. We will shortly have 5. When things like this happen, it becomes difficult for the leadership to keep up with all the cities and their shops. What if, we could appoint members of the clan to administer the city. They would have access to the Shop settings for that town alone. Perhaps one or two more priveleges. You could set one town as a HQ if you have multiple. The ruling clan would have maybe a defensive bonus while in their capital city. Though the problem is minimal now, if we get more members, which I think by the time V3 comes out, we most likely will, then it will become a problem. It would also help in spreading members out and keeping them from concentrating in one area. Give people a vested interest in the other towns.

thats a great idea. but another thing is that that person who governs the city needs to be able to see the win counts for all the clans in that city without being there too. that way if he was in tar valon to level up his city wont be taken out from under him while he's gone.

Your right. Why don't we take it a step further though. Perhaps leadership could check in on the rankings of any city you hold?

i wonder how hard it would be for tim to do this? also shouldnt the governor get more gold from the town shop or something. just to make people want to be governors of a town.

First, kudos to the Black Tower for taking so many towns. It's challenging enough to take any town (other than the 2-3 ones that actually have a few people in them.
Here's my thoughts. There was a reasoning for limiting it to two subleaders (which have the powers you want for goveners, plus some). In the past, we would end up with 2-3 really large clans and a bunch of smaller ones that don't really stand a chance matching up. My hope was that by limiting clans to 3 members who can edit towns, it would encourage people to form smaller clans and support allies to take other towns, rather than one clan taking over the entire world. With only 18 towns, having 3 towns is 1/6th of the world controled by essentially 3 people. I'd rather keep things more spread out.
Now there's nothing stopping you from taking over more towns, or even all the towns. You'd just have to work pretty darn hard to keep them all up, which is how I'd like for it to be. The more towns you take, the harder it should be to manage them. If you're up to the challenge, kudos for you and more power to you.

Tim i think what Edavar and me r saying give the clan more direct control of a town. like being able to see the clan wins for your cities and stuff like that. also i liked that headquarters idea.
