Back in the gold ol' days about three or four years ago, there were three clans (really more when you count alliances) that had a raging clan war. Perhaps the forces for the Light thought it was a raging war and the others didn't think much, but basically it started when the white tower clan declared they were darkfriends and they allied with the Forsaken clan. A few of us who thought that was wrong formed a clan named Salidar and it allied with the 9 Valley's Sept, Malkier, and the Wolfbrothers to basically only attack members of the white tower or the forsaken. There was intrigue (most members of a force of light had an alt/spy in a dark clan.). Aria ended up being on the ruling counclil in Salidar as the White Sitter I believe. Our Keeper was also on her ruling council.
all sorts of good fun. There wasn't really any structured way to say who one, but it kept the game alive for a long while. Eventually the clan's of Light opened up a role-playing website to handle the out of game stuff which morphed into a couple of other things.
By the way the leader of the 9 valley's sept and red sitter for Salidar was none other than....

well over 3,000 in the world, but I would suspect no more than 50 active.

Ah yes, the good old days. I remember doing some things that I am proud of and some that I'm not (at least publically). The person in question above didn't stop there. You forgot to mention their alt spy became 4thish in command of the Forsaken (though they never were much for order and rank). In later versions of the game (and on the aforementioned RP sites), they became Keeper, then Blue Sitter, then retired as clan chief of the NVS, then Keeper again, then retook over the NVS, then Blue Sitter, then Keeper a third time, then Amyrlin Seat. Or at least something like that. It's hard to keep track of all that as the person in question did to dang much for anyone else to remember. Long live Brin Motle! First Amyrlin of Salidar!

I'm kind of surprised that The King of Malkier isn't still around or the lead Wolfbrother. They were both very active. I think Maric did the first City of Light website and set up macro's for auto battle. I was active, but I believe he took it to the next level.
And were is Lews? What this game really needs is a nasty, but fun-loving bad guy.

By the way the leader of the 9 valley's sept and red sitter for Salidar was none other than.... Ah, that goes far towards explaining the previous inexplicable hostility between Salidar and the White Tower. The newer White Tower had none of those former players, and we were stunned when Salidar took our name in the Fun version. I did not know that there had already been a war. That also explains why Aria tried to join our clan and be First Reasoner of the White Ajah. Justin, what Salidar and the White Tower did in the fun version, beyond exchanging lots of snippy PMs with each other, was to try to strip each other of any gold on hand, as there was no bank at that time. It was kinda fun. What Muttos used to do was to set up attacks between previously agreed upon opponents. For example, if you and Golden Company were to do it, you might suggest Russel against Mat, and if they agree, then one will begin as an attacker, and then, the other will take his turn. The attacker lets the defender know in advance (in this case, let's say Russel attacks Mat) when he will be attacking, so that the defender can prepare. Russel will then gear up the best he can to defeat a defense-oriented Mat, and he'll take three shots at it, adjusting his gear as he thinks best, or leaving it the same if it seems effective. Wins, if any are tallied. Then, it is Mat's turn to attack Russel. He'll let Russel know when he intends to attack (like, tomorrow roughly 4-6 PM GMT +1, for example, but you should probably allow 24 hours notice), and Russel will gear up for it, and they will go through the same procedure. You guys would do that with each member who was participating, and at the end, you tally all the victories, whether they are in attack or defense, and whoever won the most battles won the clan "war." In the older version, that made pretty good sense, as there were distinct character classes with different advantages, and defense was sort of a joke. Now, the defender could just dress like a giant turtle, and it might be tough to get through. Hey so anyway, those crazy Viking women declared war on my alt's clan. Is there any benefit to war now? Do you get extra gold or XP or anything for beating an enemy, or is it meaningless beyond the pretty red flags those psychotic Valkyrie seem to covet?

They've gone insane, and now, they're going to kill us all!

Alaina was a sitter in the first Salidar hall. In the first alliance, Alaina came from Malkier and Perverett Sanche went to serve in leadership of Malkier.
Peverett and Aria had a great relationship as cousins (at least in Peverett's eyes) and would often banter back and forth.

Alaina told me that he was also Maric Dagar and formed the Malkier clan. *shrugs*
