My two chars have found 12+ Strong tali's and probably twice as many of Strengths.....
there is no way that Brutal only appears till level 50+. I know people have found them below level 25 in the past....
And I know for a fact that Slayers can be found as low as level 10. I've found 'em.

Actually, I really like the idea of having at least SOME idea of what your opponent is using. After all, in real life, you'd be able to see a man's weapons and armor (for the most part, at least) before you attacked him....
It might also open up some new modification territory - concealed weapons anyone?

Hey, i m back, the ones that remember kaldar should remember me Well, i dont know if someone suggested it already, but why instead of the level of your opponent and the level of their equipment, base the experience in the total damage, defense and maybe some modifier for different abilities. Besides, i think dupes should be restricted, if not eliminated, even if you want to allow dupes, you should restrict them, to at most 1, and players shouldnt be able to attack his dupes. I know, is hard to detect, but if you declare that dupes are not allowed, most people will stop using them. Another thing that can help to detect the dupers, is to record an attack log that everyone can see, so, for example, you can see the last 30 people that player x attacked, if you see that he attacks always the same couple guys, then they are probably dupes. I think that GoS needs an stricter set of rules to avoid all the abusing. And another thing GoS needs is the ability to damage your opponent in some way (taking the gold doesnt really does much), still didnt thought of any good way to do that, but when i come with something i will post it.

What are dupes?

I think Ger is refering to people with more than 1 account (these other accounts being 'dupes').
I agree that it should at least be limited. There are lots of potential problems that could be solved by limiting everyone to one account. However, the reason I haven't stepped in and done anything are 1) we currently have few enough players that it is beneficial having these extra accounts around and 2) it's near impossible to completely restrict it. Yeah, I could do 1 account per email addy and use the email address to actually verify the account, but it's not hard to set up extra email accounts. Or I could check IP addresses, but there are houses with multiple players and again, it's not too hard to get around that issue either if you know what you're doing.
Really, all my efforts would likely do right now is cut back on game activity and give those who take the time to work around my checks more of an advantage. In the future I quite possibly will put steps in place to limit multiple accounts, but hopefully after a few more version updates, there will be enough things to do that people with multiple accounts will almost be at a disadvantage compared to those that focus on only 1. (that might be exaggerating but hey, who knows.)

First, those 11 are not the list of classes for the next release. Just some thoughts. Some will likely get cut. Others likely to get added.
Second, make a choice and go with it. The game will be reset occasionally, so you can try new classes out then. I plan on implementing a system for this sometime. Before you all freak out, it won't be too often, but you likely won't reach level 100 either. At least not with this current system.

Leveling out the playing field is nice every so often, but I imagine it would get really frustrating to have built up an empire over time and hard work, just to watch it wiped out overnight. I hope you'd at least give plenty of warning before you reset.
As for limiting dupes, a lot of games limit you to a few, rather than one. I don't see any harm in limiting to, say, three characters and implementing some safeguards to keep dupes from working together, (i.e. characters registered on the same email account can't join the same clan, can't attack the same person within x number of hours of each other, etc).

Again though, it's very easy to have multiple e-mail addys. Or tweak your IP. In the end you have to trust people a little bit...

On a completely unrelated note, the Bank in Stedding Shangtai doesnt work.

This is true, but at some point you have to cut your losses as far as IP and email addresses go. If someone is really dedicated to beating the system they're pretty much going to be able to do it no matter what, unless you have a large and fairly dedicated group of Game Admins keeping tabs on everyone.

Nobody can actually keep more than a triad of characters functional at a time - they just end up becoming training dummies for everyone else, which is good IMHO.

I actually dig the idea about having weapons/armour visible, with possible mod's to conceal them. Either way, it adds a cool new side to combat.
