i'v been thinking.YES! i think... sometimes...
what if there was a bigger version of the map. and like on there it would have the city's names and the 'road ways'. it would be useful for people who aren’t real familiar with Randland, like i am. XD
i know that i don’t know were all the towns are, and if i, say, search the world market it is a challenge to find the town. XD <__<; when that happened in the past, i referred to the book.
[edit] thought of something else! what if you had to buy them. the cheepest map would be really small and only show like to the closest town? or maybe it could be hard to read or something. then you would purchess better and better maps.
lol. you could sell them at the tavern.

Don't think too often, FF, I've heard that it's bad for the health, so I try to avoid it whenever I can I like the idea of a more detailed map available inside the game. It would definitely help make the game more newbie-friendly, in my opinion. For that reason, I'm less in favour of buying different levels of the map. I'd prefer to have it easily available at once when you create your character.

*shrugs* the buying thing was more of just an after thought as a money drain. but i do personaly favor having the best map first and not having to buy it.

I'll see what can be done. With Ed helping me out with some new graphics, perhaps you can talk him into making a new map for the site. (haha, now all the force isn't directed at me!)

I can absolutely do that. It would be quite easy to make a map for the inventory. I'll put a little thought into how I want to do it and submit a few versions to Tim for approval within the next month or so. About to get new equipment wanna play with it a bit before making more stuff lol.

Guess I should clarify. I'm not sold on a map for the inventory yet. For now I'd just go with a new world map that shows the towns and how to get to them. I'd help you out on the directions, but mainly just need the new image.

Theres only one problem I see with all this. Currently there is no map for the War of the Hundred Years as at that time the only stable nation was Andor. There were many nations that no longer exist. Hardan, Almoth, Caralain Maredo among others. I could just modify a current map to highlight cities we use and show routes used to get there, which I think would be the best option. All up to you though Tim.

Agreed. I believe all of the current nations were around at the end of the WotHY, so just use the current map with the names of the areas we use prominent and all the connections between them highlighted. There's not a good place to display this now, but I'll worry about that.
