Re-living abilities, thoughts and emotions from my early days of GoS has made me a very happy man this evening.
Back before a clan had ever been stolen. Back when my only allegiance was to the Great Lord. Back before I pledged my sword to the cause of Muttos and Helmaker. Back when Ger was just a name, not a game, benchmark, motivational tool or friend.
There was a man named Malorian Havoc that exulted in his ability to defeat anyone and everyone in the land no matter how high in level they were, how rich they were, or how powerful their friends and allies were. The more accomplished they were, the more he enjoyed defeating them.
This new age, having much less time and starting at the back of the pack has given me back that feeling that I so enjoyed.
Killing one power wielders gave me a similar feeling, but because they were innately tougher to kill, I didn't get the same rush. This rush.
I'm level 33. At 67 he's over twice my level. I have no higher character farming for me. Haven't taken any gifts from anyone.
Malorian lashes out with Lion on the Hill. Lord takes 176 damage.
Poison wracks Lord's body for 33 damage.
Lord's taint increases by 30.
Malorian is injured in the attack and takes 10 damage.
Malorian has 201 health and Lord has 0 health.
Malorian wins
and takes 15,373 gold
Then I made the rounds of the land and took 65% of the gold form each of the top 5 money holders, which I then squandered on a 5-1 odds toss of the dice.
I also defeated Tainted Kaldar.
When Ger's turn came, Of course I lost. I got all GERed up in the head and the pressure did me in.
Thank you Tim for reviving GoS. Thank you even more for the work your doing to change the game and make things more interesting.
Bank your gold if you see me online, cause I'm coming to collect.
"Tia mi level Moridin isande vadin."
(The level is no bar to my call.)
Let the lord of chaos rule, or if he's busy Helmaker......
