Day 87: Last Battle Update (Second Wave, Part One: The Saved Cities)
Salidar: The first horde to fall in the new onslaught from the Dark One's forces. A Fist of Trollocs attacked the forces for Light from the Caralain Grass. They were met with a group of Wilders determined to save their Little Tower. Inlis Sartori, alone among the Shadow's Champions, met the wilders on the field, and slew them all. But all was not lost. Aemon alCaar and Kol leandran, together and with many allies backing them up, brought the Fist to its knees before it reached the city.
Chachin: The second Horde to be slain came against the newest edition to the Kingdom of Manetheren. The battlefield was the Plain of Lances, and two armies marched to this battle. One the Shadow's side, Red-Veiled Aiel, on the Light, Soldiers from a dozen backgrounds came to protect the innocents of the city. As the two sides clash, Coreer Jabro and Asukatski Silverstorm were a duet of death to the Soliders of the Light. But again, the Light was not extinguished. A pair of siblings emerged from the field, Ardame and Fiddler Twoflower. And together, they killed every last Red-Veiled Aiel they could find, until they were the last surviving warriors left standing on the Plain that deserved its name once again.
Amador: Strangely, it was a city dedicated to the Shadow that threw off its invaders next. Marching on their own city, with destruction on their mind, were an Army of Whitecloaks. But the city that they called home would not go without a fight, and a band of mercenaries, bearing the Sigil of the Blacklances, stood in their way. Again, sadly, Inlis Sartori, alone once again, went ahead of the Whitecloaks and cleared the path for them. But, as the Whitecloaks marched across the corpses of the Blacklance mercenaries, three heroes arrived. Sallie Daera's wrath over the fallen fueled her dance of death. Gitchi Gitchi singlehandedly fought more Whitecloaks face to face than any who lived to tell the tale. But the final blow was struck by Jahar Narishma, whose Firestorm weave engulfed the fleeing Darkcloaks.
Falme: The city on the sea watched as Darkfriends herded a crazed Herd of Lopar to attack their fair city. Ironically, the city itself brought out their own weapon, tamed Lopar and their handlers. The snarling crash of the exotic beasts outside the city walls were deafening. in the midst of it all, members of the Shadow and the Light fought for dominance. Zeke Malakai and Brithan Doonhar killed the last tamed Lopar in sight, before retreating to lend aid to other Shadow endeavors. In the snarling storm, Justin alSeen and Granny Twoflower killed beasts left and right, but it was proving to be overwhelming. Then, riding hard towards the battle, Jahar Narishma, still battered from the Amador fight, arrived and with the last of his strength, burned the wild Lopar as well.
Caemlyn: The Final City. Homeland of the Black Tower, Caemlyn's fate hung by the thinnest of threads for most of the invasion. Its army of Lion-crested soldiers were quickly done away with by the Shadow's Touya Housaki and Rhapsody Fang, who put them down with starling ease. They had brought with them their own army of soldiers, who then laid siege to the city. Many heroes of the Light fought in this battle, but were worn out from previous conflicts. Of the many, three stood out above the rest. Aemon alCaar dealt more death to the Darkfriend Soldiers than anyone. Andorius Erdling's lightening fast strikes became legendary. But the final blow, the person who stepped up when they thought they couldn't, and in doing so saved the city, was Duncan Bashere, who tired and worn out, fought until the walls themselves looked like they would fall, and won.
(Will post fallen cities later tonight, left phone at home and pics of those stats are on it)
