I hope to see more people active this age. I believe that I found three new players..some of whom have been practicing on the wasteland of previous age.I hope to see alot of familiar faces and new ones too. I have got alot of positive feedback back and help from the many, more experienced players/moderators. I don't know about quitting but I have been trying to get recruits and so far..due to my lack of social media skills,I have gotten three..one of the recruits said they will post something on the wot sites he visits. So maybe we'll get alot of new people who will need all of your help,so I guess I am just hoping people don't quit and we have a great age...and that this game/community continue to grow...thanks..Excited!

well, first, hello again everyone! RL has finally given me time to play again! I would like to say that limiting it to two characters (four for donors) is going to help a lot because i know i burn out with five or six. I really really like the capital idea for clans as well. maybe the advantage of it being the capital is that the ji doesnt degrade, while owned cities degrade depending on number of steps away? and to keep people upgrading the capital (and not just using it as a safe city so the clan can be focused elsewhere) give it a unique upgrade non-capital cities dont get. Idk just a thought. But cant wait for the next age! Happy Hunting!

and if yall dont think thatll give enough incentive to upgrade the capital cities, maybe have a rebellion countdown when it gets neglected thatll cut ji in half. its a huge penalty but ji wouldnt degrade normally so i figured something drastic would give us a big enough kick to the face that we wouldnt risk it

Yeah, you and I are thinking along the same lines with cities, I believe.

I have an idea. Not sure if its possible, but what if we had NPC accounts. I mean, actual characters that automatically raised their levels every so often without the need to battle. They would each specialize in something different like taint and poison. Or att% and speed. Then the duelers could test out their builds on them and it would make it seem like their were more active players. Of course, like the 3 moderator characters, they would not qualify for the Heroes page and since they don't actually battle themselves, no chance of finding a seal or something. Basically, they would just be targets. It can get hard to find opponents your level sometimes, more so the higher your own level...

Actually considered posting my own thread about why I end up inactive each age, but then I saw this thread.
Reason I go inactive is simple: not enough time.
I simply can't keep up with the turns anymore and when I get to like 150ish turns saved up I just give up and then start to go inactive.
What would help me is a way to dump turns faster without using auto-refresh (since I always forget about that and end up with 0 stamina and start wasting items/exp).
Basically a way to say "I want to fight 30 times", then the game just calculate 30 fights and give me the rewards.

Dahl, consider this .... you get 2 battles / hour , so 48 / day. Even if you take some time to read the battle log as you attack and spend 20 seconds on each battle .... you could run through all of your daily turns in 16 minutes / day.
So, the turns are not the real enemy here ..... I think the real enemy of the game is people trying to run too many accounts. I certainly experienced the dread of logging in to realize that I have 4+ accounts nearing 200 turns
Ideally, running turns should not be a dread but the enjoyment of seeing how your equipment fares ... unfortunately, since most people just attack NPCs it becomes as some have described it the "I win" button. Even in that, it shouldn't be too dreadful to pay attention for 20 to 30 minutes / day.
If you don't want to spend 30 minutes / day on your character/s then what does that say about your enjoyment of the game itself?

I guess I just like to play when I can,but i really enjoy dueling, so I feel like, even though I am only keeping 3 alts above 60,that I don't mind waisting a few bp, and if I feel like grinding out the bp,great! If not then to bad for me,but I still keep at it. I want challenges, and feel that with out them it won't be any fun If good gets strong to strong,I can play evil alts,I like a balance of sorts. To bad you won't be leading the Forsaken lord Kaldar,I'd like an evil Challenger...

It's not just the fights themselves though. You have to go back to town and sell, repair and rest. And there are more things to do than fight. Businesses, chatting, maybe some duels, etc. And it all requires travelling which just leads to so many clicks and page loads. And as mentioned npcs (with a couple exceptions) are free kills after the first few levels, so not sure what would be lost by allowing people to speed up fights. If necessary for balance just make speed fighting not count towards quests.

Time spend allows the gameplay of duelling as a cash builder. If people could spend 30 seconds to turn dump and then clear cash in a few clicks then alot would be taken away from that side - the last few ages have already made things way too easy, I actually preferred the system of it taking more time to travel around, personally.
