Let's face it, espionage has the potential to be a major factor in the game with open/closed clan door policies and hidden character ownership that is not wholly acted upon. But it could be with some maybe fairly simple ideas enacted?
couple of thoughts -
Alignment - hide alignment from other players until it reaches 'world famous' proportions, ie full light or full shadow. This will force more scrutiny of actual player actions as opposed to being able to read their history in summary from their profile page.
Darkfriend - put this back to a selectable AC as opposed to a starter class, and/or 'mask' it's selection with a random skill icon as far as every other player is concerned.
Default clans to 'invite required' upon creation and/or add a 'what clan am I in' check every time a clan chat page is updated. Being able to join a clan, open clan chat, then leave clan while keeping the chat window open is an exploit.

I should also add merging horde/army wins into a single item on the profile-accomplishments page

I think support Ji should be hidden as well.

This will probably shock ... no one, but I completely disagree. There is little enough to go on as it stands with regards to character action. I can't tell where my clan members have their estates, nor who they are supporting. If I see my clan members have support Ji, I can't see who they supported (Although, nobody in the Forsaken should have support Ji really).
The few pieces of information I have to go on currently, is by watching their alignment, and if they are attacking armies or hordes.
If you take away that information there would literally be know way to tell if your clan is full of enemies or friends. Although, realistically, we have so few players that any unknown face in my clan draws scrutiny. I called a couple out this age that I don't really know who they were or which side they were fighting for, but I can say they were not in the clan long. So probably spies.

Well, I would like some of those options, maybe they are visible for your clan leader alone? so if you want to keep hidden your alignment from everyone, dont join a Clan... i mean, whats the point of hiding that i m a darkfriend if i join the forsaken...

But what do the people who want to play a Verin or a darkfriend in a light clan do? Spies have always been a part of this game. It's way too easy as it is to find them. I personally don't love spying, but I really do like finding them.
If your members are all forced to give you the info on their estates and things, that basically kills any chance spies have. Where's the intrigue then? That would just take all the strategy out of the game and make it nothing but numbers.

I don't care much. I'll bow to public opinion. However, I will say, that without being able to see if someone was hitting armies or hordes, there are at least 3 times last age I wouldn't have been able to take corrective action on a player that simply didn't know there was a difference.
So it makes it harder to assist newer players if you can't tell that they are making mistakes.

I think it's okay to see alignment. It can change quickly towards the end with a bit of effort. You can have a lean shadow or lean light alignment for quite awhile and then switch before the Last Battle begins. You won't be able to spy at the very end that way, but you can spy for quite awhile. You can also hit armies with a Light alignment or Hordes with a Shadow alignment, then when that phase is over, undress/gear down a bit and take no further part beyond letting your true allies beat on you for duel points, so even if your alignment does not change, you can be a saboteur. Verin was "Black" to the last hour of her life, after all.

well, undressing so your comrades hit you could be seen as violation of the rules of the game...

That doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Btw, what you say is true, at the start of last age, i got faile almost to leaning light, as a matter of fact i took the horn from one of the forsaken, and blew it on a horde, just to confound people.

Yeah, I watched Seitaarin change sides within a week of the last battle, but he had to work pretty hard at it. I know it can be done, and I'm sure that even after the Last Battle has started and you've been placed on one side or the other, there is nothing to prevent you from blowing the Horn at the "wrong" mob of NPCs, or setting your offices to do the opposite of what you should.
