Can you get the horn if you are holding a Seal? Faile and cast beat Talena several times last nigth and none got the horn, of course it could be only chance, but since there is code that prevents you from getting two seals, maybe the same happens with the horn and a seal. Can you confirm that Tim?

Hrm. I'm actually not sure of the top of my head. Would need to dig through the code when I get home tonight, but my guess is that you can only hold one special item (horn or seal) at a time.

Bonus question, its intended that you can drop the horn as soon as you get it? I had read it about the seals, but not about the horn. I know that by dropping/blowing the horn, you put it back in the game, but maybe a cool off period (1 hour) could give people the possibility of taking it back without needing to wait for the horn to appear, maybe in a low lvl you cannot attack... the same for dropping a seal

Intended might be the wrong word, but no I didn't plan for a cool down period or limit to dropping the horn. With the Seal, I'm not sure you even have the option to drop it... (need to look that up as dropping it never crosses my mind when I get one ) Unlike the Seal, there's no where 'safe' to put the Horn, so while you hold it, you're a target until you use it or lose it. I wanted the option for those that don't want to deal with it to get rid of it. Dropping it isn't really any different than someone blowing it as soon as they get it, which I think should still be an option.

Seals can be dropped, tested that one as true this age. I guess some RP argument could be made for DO influence not letting someone drop a seal into the middle of the Aryth Ocean, maybe, if you want to take time away from doing important things like Boss quests!!! to change it. But the Horn? nah, I reckon you've got the right of it there Tim. That thing's got no mystical agenda to keep itself out in the world, it'll call the Heroes for anyone that blows it regardless of race, colour, creed, or how long they've handled it. Or whether they dropped it into the ocean, and then stole it again and dropped it again. Still worked when it was found and blown - see? it really doesn't care how badly you treat it, it just works ... that's the Horn of Valere for you
