I want to add some information ... now I'm not saying there isn't still some issues to resolve ... however ... you all wanted some more numbers to play with, so I'm just going to add some more information and you can draw your own conclusions
Tasselhoff was set up in a Tinker suit to protect the horn - I'd be interested in hearing what the actual kit was, but that's up to you guys ... OK this is now the done thing, that's fine - not optimal on a melee build of course, but it is a strong defensive setup ... in any case, I took one of my nearest level guys, 3 levels below, in a clan with no clan bonuses at all, and I started fiddling with various bits and pieces. Melee, yeah with health gain and poison mitigation it's just a no go. However, with ZERO tinkers gear, ZERO scouts gear, and a melee skilled character, I then went and put a few numbers up ... first few battles were rangefinders of course, not an excuse, an explanation ... stamina penalties are a non-issue, as poison damage mitigation precluded melee as as being a primary damage source. However, in total the battle count ended up being Randy 9 wins vs Tasselhoff 7 wins before I ended up walking away in disgust without a horn still ... that's not even counting the 20 Talena wins, but that's by the by.
In those 16 battles, 3 attacks were with various melee changes, to no real effect. I don't have the control TA's to even try and toe to toe with melee, which would just be more or less an effort in futility in any case given the level difference and clan bonuses ranged against (defense + health gain clan bonuses make melee hit for crap against another melee, let alone against a hg capped poisoner)
The remaining 13 battles were done using mostly the below setup, some changes but certainly the last 10 were pretty static with items.

So yeah it's just not quite as simple as 'Tinkers is OP', that's all I'm saying ... I know Tas was in a far from optimal build - so was I ... but I used none of the so-called OP TA's and came out successful against some fairly significant odds that included a Tinkers suit, just saying there are many other factors to consider rather than focussing on one individual TA and thinking that's the problem - it's really, really not.
