I know at one point there was discussion about making businesses include some amount of work for the player, but if that's not a huge concern these days...
I would really love to see a change in the mechanics of starting/selling business goods - instead of a pop-up menu for each of the nine grid squares (in applicable businesses), it would be /awesome/ if the grid squares were selectable, whether with direct-click with nice intermediate graphic -sorry Ed - or just simple checkboxes, whatever, then ONE pop-up menu to apply the crop/ore/etc to the selected production squares...
Same thing for selling off - click the completed squares, have a Sell or Take button. Not sure how amounts to Take could be handled in this approach, though - maybe a qty pop-up that only appears when one single grid square is selected, goes away when 2+ are clicked? Finished crops/etc - could turn into differing graphics to display quality grades - d'oh! - sorry again, Ed... ;-)
