I would like to see,in the next age, the option for different names for Subleaders. Fearless isn't my Keeper, Jen is, but he's my Captain of the Guard. It would be nice to see that added.

me too. its something i have wanted for a while. it cant be too hard to code right? and this is something i cant see the negatives. it wont clutter the clan page, at least not in my opinion. i would also like different ranks based on gender but thats probably asking too much (if not gender have them tied to the info the heroes page tracks.)

I think This is a very interesting idea but should be put in as an afterthought as their are larger issues to take care of first, Though personally I would like to see the clan leaders have the ability to give ranks to certain people that allow them to do things that you wouldn't be able to normally. For example: You could give someone the ability to manage the vault. Of course there would have to be caps on How many times you can do this, and there are probably better examples but I think it would add a lot more atmosphere to the clan experience and management, just my little timbit on the subject

I like the idea and it seems simple, but there are complications. I'd need a way to differentiate which subleader gets which title, but still treat both the same powers wise (not going to add multiple levels of subleaders with configurable powers, as that would be a big coding headache). Right now players are just flagged as subs and get the titles. If I tweak how they are flagged, then I have to go around to all the places where the code checks if you're a subleader and change what it checks for. Not impossible to change, but ends up being a lot of work for a "nice to have" type of thing. Not saying no, but just lowering your expectations.

I think this would be a great idea. I agree with Shylah on the fact that having two people flagged as Keeper is a bit off.

Not sure how you have this all set up Tim, (though I've been becoming more and more curious), but it seems to me the issue of subleader title could be affected by adding a secondary flag. As the title itself is just a name and the name only appears (as far as I can tell) on the clan page and on the individuals bio page, you would only need to check this secondary flag in those two places and have them output the name accordingly. This way the sub flag you already have can remain as is and things should function fine, while allowing for a different titles.
I imagine current clan title code on bio pages is a check running something like
if subleader_flag == 1: title = subleader title + " of clan blarg" else if lvl > a and < b and ji > a and < b: title = clan title + " of clan blarg"
Where as a modfied code might read
if subleader_flag == 1: if subleader_flag2 == 0: title = subleader title 1 + " of clan blarg" if subleader_flag2 == 1: title = subleader title 2 + "of clan blarg" else if lvl > a and < b and ji > a and < b: title = clan title + " of clan blarg"
Sorry if I'm over stepping my bounds as a player and making code suggestions. Its been a long day and this is way more fun to think about than what I should be doing.
edit: As an after thought, this secondary flag could be used later to grant specific abilities (i.e. vault control, etc) to specific people. example if subleader_flag2 <= 1: controls all, if subleader_flag2 > 1 and < 4 control vault. The only draw back to this off-the-top-of-my-head idea is it requires some structure to the titles (ie king->lord -> mayor -> peasent (good) vs (bad) king->peasent -> mayor -> lord ) Ok. I think I'm done now. sorry.
