Hi all! Enjoying my new addiction to GoS.
Found what seems to be a small inconsistency.
On the map Caralain Grass is shown as a hill region - but I think it's being treated as plains.
Yes - I know plains makes some sense plot-wise, but besides not matching the map, it messes up the distribution of types of land (ie - the map shows 3 of each type).
Thanks for a great game! -3j

Caralain Grass should be treated as Hills, due to the reason you mentioned (distribution of land types). I'll look into this to verify. What makes you think it's being treated as Plains?

Hi Tim, I have pretty little evidence (which is why I put this is the newbie sub). Sorry for being vague previously. The first thing is just that I was using a character with Peddler+2 (so luck +4 in hills) and no modifier for plains. This seems to generally give a noticeable difference in item drop rates in plains vs hills for me, but while kicking NPC rear in Caralain Grass it seemed to be acting like hills (much fewer drops). But it could have just been a poor streak. Also, I looked at the Explore/Estates graphic which was well, hilly for the others but flat for the Caralain Grass pic. In my sleep-deprived state this morning I thought it was likely the pictures were linked to the region by type. It's clear now that they are individually made and linked so that's more excuse than evidence Anyway, if you can confirm it either way sometime before I have to choose where to build my next estate that would be awesome. Thanks again! -3j
