Hi, I am a huge WoT fan, I am currently on Knife of Dreams and have been looking for a game like this for a month or so.
I need help getting started, if anyone is interested on giving me some pointers just respond to me on this thread and I will message you my MSN, if you don't have MSN we can figure something out.

Welcome rurik! Always good to see a new face!
I'd suggest creating a character on the V9 test site and joining one of the active clans there. Most of them are pretty good about helping show new players the ropes. If not, you can always message me in game (The Creator) or just post here.
New version should be going live in the next few weeks, and at that point V8.1 will be taken down and V9 will go up on the main site (gos.talij.com).

Welcome To GoS.  We'd be more than happy in Silver Legion to help you get started if you join the Test site, but we're not too active right now, as we're kinda taking a break while we wait for the next version to start. We do all check in a few times a day though, so we can answer questions and stuff. If you're looking for a more active clan to start out though, Golden Company is still kicking it pretty hard right now and I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you out too. Now's the time to get started though, so you can learn the game without it counting, so to speak. |

If you mean the test site it can be found here: dominion.talij.com V9 itself won't go live for another week or two. Working on figure out a more exact date today and should hopefully be able to let you guys know before the weekend what to expect. |

When V9 goes live, will I lose the character I've been working on? I've been playing on the test site.

yeah - new rounds/resets wipe the slate clean, and everyone starts up from scratch again
in some ways, that's a pisser, but overall, it's nice since you can't undo bad Skill/Class choices, so you get a new chance to smooth out your build each new round
