So here's the deal: I'm way behind where I'd like to be on V9. Test site probably won't be ready to open til around Xmas at best. That's about 2 more months of the current version, and a lot of people have already called it quits for this version. Today actually marks 2 months since the launch (the second one ). So I was thinking it might be a good idea to do a reset. Let people start this version over. There won't be any new features or anything like that, but it would give everyone a fresh start and give you something to do while I try to catch up on V9. I might even be talked into making a few tweaks to make this special reset more interesting (more battles, double XP, less wait between duels). If you guys decide you want me to do a reset, I'll come up with some ideas and let you all decide what sounds best. If a reset is wanted, I'll probably hold off for a week or so, to get the word out that it's coming. So a couple days to decide if a reset is wanted, a couple days to decide if you want some fun tweaks, then a week's notice. Probably looking at a reset in about 2 weeks if that helps you make your decision. Go Team!

Honestly, I would like to continue the current feuds going on, but I'm pretty sure ossification has done its work in terms of paring down the number of people playing, and making it impossible for the current balance of power to change appreciably. I would actually love to have a reset. I've finally come up with some workable strategies for my players, but since the Ji count of the ruling clan in 90% of the towns is prohibitively high, all I can really do is kick around and occasionally help WoE stage insurrections. I'd say keep it around for another week or so, and then do a reset. Whether you change anything substantial, it'll still be a blank slate for me to work on, so I'll be happy.

This is the furthest I've gone since Craig's versions, and I have just begun to wreak my vengeance on the WoE and Black Tower clans. I would like to keep going. WoE still controls towns, and I might even create another alt to catch up to Hightower and punish him for breaking an ancient alliance. He's obviously a fail M'Hael.

FYI: Edvar was actually the one the broke the BT alliance. After the massive battle stepped down as Mhael and Hightower is now in charge. And weren't you the leader of WoE for like half the game?

Then shame on them both.
Yes, and they kicked me out, so I am helping Silver Legion humiliate them.

I broke alliance with the Silver Legion because it became clear to me they had taken control of too many cities. It was no longer fair. Someone had to do something. My only regret is that I couldn't do enough. They have a stranglehold on the land. They're too strong. I will never again support such tyranny. I never betrayed the WT though. I firmly believe the BT and the WT should always work together. I've just had a lot going on and nothing left for wars I cannot win. If you've allowed the Silver Legion deceive you then shame on you.

I still don't know how owning most of the world makes us part of the shadow. We take towns, because it's part of the game. More importantly, it's our favorite part of the game. Is it then, a bad thing, that we like to have something to work toward, to keep the game enjoyable? I think not. One could argue that the act of casting aside an alliance lies more on the shadowy side, then the light.
Tyranny, Ed? HA!!! How many versions has SL and BT been allied? How many times have we told you no when you asked for our help taking a town? How many times have we forced you to do anything.
When this age started, you approached us with an alliance offer. As part of that, you asked for our support in Caemlyn, and I asked for yours in Cairhien. After that, you said you wanted to go for Tar Valon, but didn't ask for our help. Not that it mattered anyway, cause you ended up supporting WT there. You had only to ask for help taking another town, and we would have worked something out. Based on you not asking, and the fact that we never saw any effort on your part to take another town, we assumed you were content with your situation.
Then Cid told me you were going after one of our towns. I did not believe it at first, for you had always been a man of your word. Even though I have come to greatly appreciate your actions, as they made this version truly come alive, you must remember some things. You, started this. You betrayed us. We did not make you do this. So stop blaming us for your actions.

Edvar is right, Tim, I meant the BT/WT alliance. I play more than one character. Jenlyn is my real main in GoS, even though I use the name Coel in WoE and played him as my main this round. Coel is miffed at being kicked from WoE, and Jenlyn is miffed at being spurned by the Asha'man. I'm sure that next round, things will go back to normal, as I am a longtime friend and clanmate of both Cid and Fearless.
In the old days, it was not like this. Silver Legion was not disproportionately powerful despite having one of Ger's alts, and they were a good friend to the White Tower. Now, they are scorned like Muttos. The Wheel turns, I suppose. At least they are still friendly with the White Tower, which is where my real loyalties lie. I just wish I didn't have to lead it. *frowns at Shylah for not playing this round*

You are correct. You were always good allies. I was content with Caemlyn actually. What I was not content with, was the fact that it seemed the only way to hold a town was through alliance with you. When one clan dominates, I stand against them so that everyone has a fair chance. That's what Guardians do. To the death.(which it was lol) Besides, I knew you guys liked a good challenge. Having a town is fun. Having 2 or 3 is awesome. Anything more is kinda selfish imo. Sorry, that's the way I feel. There's more to the game. The people. Regardless, I did betray you and my honor is stained. This was bigger than my honor though and I do what I feel is right no matter the consequences. I am retiring Edvar until such a time as I feel I have earned my honor back. Nor will I lead a clan until that time. I will serve, but I will serve whoever I deem the most selfless.

And Jenlyn, the BT never betrayed the WT while I was in charge. Not sure what happened after I was killed in the battle for Caemlyn though Sorry if whoever hijacked the BT did. The clan was supposed to be dissolved.
