I've been thinking about this. It seems to me that this is very unbalanced. Lots of reasons to make allies, none to make enemies. I usually end up with 5 or 6 allies, 7 or 8 this time , plus I usually end up turning down 3 or 4 alliance offers simply because I have too many allies and there wouldn't be enough non allies to fight lol. Enemies though...I rarely have any enemies at all. I mean, the only reason I made Silver Legion an enemy is because I didn't want to pretend I was still allies with them once I decided to stand up to their empire Yes, I know you have to be enemies to have Clan Battles, but theres really not much to be gained by it. Mostly negatives. The few positives are so small that I at least pretty much ignore them...

I actually agree. To my knowledge, we've never actually marked anyone an enemy. :/ Well, I did in the last test site, to test clan battles.

What about the bonuses from winning duels with enemy players? I know I have yet to need to donate any cash to the Company's bank, because I make so much money off fighting Legion members.
Other than that, I agree - there doesn't seem to be much point to having enemy clans.
Perhaps if things were more Light/Dark based?

I agree too. I was hoping the addition of clan battles would help this issue, but that didn't go as well as planned.
Any suggestions on what other additions could be added? What other kinds of bonuses/penalties should being enemies cause? I want to bring Light vs. Shadow back into the game more, but don't want that to completely replace the existing clan structure either...

Ooohh! What if your clan got a bonus if a majority of your members were light or dark? One which doubled vs clans of opposite alignment. Say...+5% health gain for light clans and +5 taint for dark clans?

I definitely like that idea, Edvar. Also, could there be any way of making the game winnable? this would probably play into the "Last Battle" scenario a lot...
Regardless, what if we had the opportunity to not only control towns but create nations in some way? I'm not sure where that would go, but it would give clans an incentive to engage in warfare, I should think...
