what about the person who makes the quest has to hold the item in their inventory but the item is locked down, can't sell it, drop it, or market it, like a clan item.

Problem with that is what if the quest was for 5 items, or they wanted to do multiple quests at once. Half their inventory would be full of other people's items until the other person collected them. That'd be a pretty big deterent for me to do item quests if I'd have to sacrifice a large part of my inventory for Light knows how long. I mean, what if the offerer never claimed the items? There'd have to be some time period after which the items are lost.

i say go with the floating in a void. sounds like the simplest answer. i really dont like the one where it stays in your inventory cuz i like either an empty inventory while waiting on good items or an almost full one with a lot of good items. i dont keep items i dont like or need at all.

Yes, I'd like to take care of it in V4. What do you mean 'in a void'? As in it's not in either inventory until the other person accepts it? I said above I'm worried it would be exploited. If you can think of a way to prevent that then I'm all for it (shouldn't be hard to change).
Right now items go into the inventory of the person that created the quest. If all else fails, I'll leave it as that. If they didn't want the items, they shouldn't have created the quest for them...

Did the V4 countdown threads get dumped to make room for V5 stuff, or just moved (can't find them with search)? I was still using the class/skill tables for reference

Moved them to be under the Discussion board. Figured they weren't really announcement material anymore.
