when i go to dice it shows up in the map area. space wise it dosnt work too well. dice with 2(counting you) all you can do is roll again and change wagers. dice with 5 you have to click town and then go back to the tavern.

Yeah, didn't try dicing with more than two when I tested it, though you should still be able to scroll down like you could with the map. Putting that there was just something I was messing with. Isn't working as well as I though, so I'll likely change it back.
Thanks for pointing that out!

Gambling is a terrible thing to have in the game, as it creates money out of nothing.
When you allow for money to be created out of nothing, you are just asking for hyperinflation.
One possible way to have gambling without the need to just create new gold out of thin air would be a lottery system. Players buy tickets, and there's a daily drawing. The winner gets the gold that the players themselves have bet. Not very exciting though.
There might be other ways, but the current system is bad, oh so very bad.

Interesting point. However, I will say that the majority of the money in the game as it stands right now comes from selling weapons found after duels, which essentially comes from nothing as well. And if you lose at dicing, the money returns to nothing.
I have questioned the value of dicing though. Do people use it often, or is it something that's just there? I might have to start a counter to see just how much it gets used...

No, selling gear from duels does not create money out of nothing, as an action is required, attcking, in order to get that gear. And it is also very controlled how much money can be infused into the game via attacks, since you determine the value and drop-rate of items.
There is no limit to how much you can bet, and therefor no limit on how much gold can be infused into the economy.

Welcome Secon! Good points on both sides, I daresay.....
What if the money you win comes from previous wagers made by other characters? Ie, the gambling den has a counter of how much money has been lost there, and no-one can ever win more than has been deposited in the past.
Conversely, could we make it so there's some way for players to actually dice with each other? I'm not sure how we could do it, but I think it'd be the only real way to justify gambling - I've never thought diceing had much use at all.

Thank you.
The system you are talking about, while possible, would mean that unless a lot of people actively play, any one player can easily empty the reserves. And sort of makes it a bit pointless.
As for the ability to play dice against someone else. That would probably be a bit tricky to do in real time, which I assume is what you would want. Though I guess there could be such a thing as a dice request. You specify a user name, and an amount, click send, and the person gets to accept or decline your challenge.
It all really depends on the skill of our dear Creator.
Edit: And while not really the right forum. I guess one could extend that challenge system for duels as well. Either for cash, or item prizes.

And whether or not we actually want to have gambling.
I'd just as soon scrap the whole idea. It doesn't add much to the game IMHO.

No, I agree. It might have it's uses as a money drain, but there are much better ways of doing that. And with the high potential for abuse, it just does not seem like something that should be kept around.

I have a pretty safe way for coming out ahead. Not that hard really, assuming you have a bit to gamble with in the first place. I'll keep that a secret though, just in case the dice game stays in.

I think there should be some way of gambling because otherwise everybody is gonna be really rich and bored. Or we could have everybody take off there armor and fight hand to hand and then bet on that ?

Tavern Brawl Wager: [25000] Players: Two
Player one wins and takes 50000
