For V5, I've changed the way one becomes a darkfriend. Darkfriend is now one of the specialized classes. While this does restrict which characters are darkfriends, it also allows for me to fairly give bonuses to Darkfriends. If you want to call your character a Darkfriend without choosing the class, I'm not going to stop you. I might even be persuaded to keeping the choice upon creation if there's enough of a demand for it, though you would only receive the bonuses if you chose the specialized class.
Another new class I'm adding is Fanatics. These are those people that are at the other end of the spectrum from Darkfriends: followers of the Prophet, some Whitecloaks, Fain's lackeys, etc. People so vehemently opposed to the Shadow that they have twisted themselves as well.
These classes are mutually exclusive, meaning you can be one or the other, but not both. There are a couple other classes that have similar exclusions, which I will discuss as I get to them.

I'd say Fain fits more in with the Fanatics... Not that he serves the light, but Mordeth who is now a part of him did.
